Can The Samsung Ace Be Flashed?

I'm totally new to this entire "flashing" thing. I came across a good deal on an Ace. i took it to metropcs and was told it could be flashed but the guy didnt have the config. i found the metropcs config, gave it to him, and now he says it's just not flashable. I think he doesnt know what he's doin!
Can someone tell me if it is possible, and if so HOW!
