Triple boot Vista, Mac [hackintosh], and Fedora 11/Ubuntu 9.04 [keep switching cant tell which one i like better]
does anyone know of a way to flash roms etc from Linux?

There is a software for debian based systems (you can also compile it for other systems) that allows you to flash in linux. It was made by pof from xda-developers.com
You can also flash most phones WITHOUT a computer using your SD card.
