Bluetooth headsets

Not sure if this is the place to post this so mods please move accordingly if I put it in the wrong spot. I got a Diamond about two months ago and it is the first phone I've had with Bluetooth on it and I'm thinking about getting a headset for it. The thing is, I only use a headset in my car so I would leave the Bluetooth headset in my truck just like I do with my current wired set. I'm in the Dallas area so it can get real hot in vehicles, and it has been known to get cold too. I was wondering if other people treat their headsets similarly and if it can cause problems or age the headset (and battery) pre-maturely. The last thing I want to do is spend $30 to $100 on a headset and have it die on me in the first month or two because of the conditions it is stored in. I would appreciate any adivce anyone has.

Re: Bluetooth headsets

I'm guessing no responses in two days means no one really uses their bluetooth that way. Thanks to the people who looked at least.

Ill answer for you.

ITll be fine. Just dont buy something with a jelly/gummy ear piece.

Case in point, i have a older nokia headset that i used in my car only. It stayed in my car, then moved to my blazer. While its not texas heat, kansas heat gets nasty in cars.

That headset, is almost 5 years old. And still works just fine to this date.

Ever thought of one of the Blueant Supertooth things? Look into something like that if its just going to be used in the car. Bit expensive but totally hands free and you dont have to jack anything into your ear.

Check out the Motorola S9-HD - I love it - works perfect with my Sprint HTC Touch Pro - Stereo music and answer the phone - check the reviews on the net

Re: Bluetooth headsets

Blue Parrot works great for me, no problems with temp hot or cold. it's a little cumbersome but its sound and noise canceling abilities out weighs its size.
