Weatherpanel question for 6700..

Please excuse my ignorance...I searched the site but I am still unsure of a answer. I have a friend who saw my customized WP and wants it on his 6700. Can he d/l the trial version and it work without issues? I need to give this to him in steps before I turn him loose on traffic cams and introduce him to this place.
