Good Things About Windows Mobile

It is all to frequent that you read criticism after criticism about Windows Mobile. I thought I would start this thread in hopes that people would offer: aspects of WM they enjoy, things they like about it, links to articles praising WM, and general positive WM vibes!

Thought with Android out in 48 hours and all the talk about what WM needs, we could discuss what WM already has.

OB iPhoneBash... background processes, navigation software, and no Steve Jobs telling developers what they're allowed to do.

oh noes android out in 48 hours? that is when skynet will come online and google aka "skynet" will start to take over the world slowly... but on a lighter note... WM rocks!

I have been using windows mobile since around 2000. I have always loved the platform. Mainly the availability of software available for it.

Love being able to use Visual Studio to build apps, plus having a emulator available on the PC for testing...

These are all good points! The software available is incredible and there seems to be a real dedication to furthering developments be it from professionals or basement enthusiasts.

As for building my own apps I have never done that. That sounds really interesting!

I like it, and if I don't like something, I can change it...or rip it out...Overall it's a good base to work with!
