Google SMS with Sprint PPC6700

I have been trying to use the text message to Google for information. I have followed the results exactly (I'm using a Sprint PPC 6700) but never receive the text message response (I do get confirmation the message was sent). I can text people fine and they get the message. In fact, family members of mine with other Sprint phones (Fusic and Blade) have the same issue with the Google SMS. Does anyone know if it doesn't work with Sprint? Thanks.
