This is awesome, I almost missed something by not having it on wednesday. Now it looks like the next day it was updated. No multiple voicemails since so I had to call myself to verify, but it does show the right number now!

I agree with you. Apparently their "tech" got back to me... first response was that I should install the latest ROM... haha... I emailed:

The reply back a few hours later was:

So... no date (unfortunately), but at least another confirmation that they're working on it for mass release.

Mines is working as well, In New York City. i noticed this about a week ago and also thought it was a joke when it said I had 9 new voice mails. Checked and sure enough there was 9 voice mails. Seems to only be working out East right now.

No, if I have one voicemail, and I know it's from someone I don't care to talk to right now, I don't check it. Then I miss a few calls and never have any idea if the new caller left me a message until I check my voicemail. I hate voicemail, and call it as seldom as possible. I would be VERY happy if I had an accurate count. Then I can know that the only messages in there are ones I don't want to listen to :)

i'm famous for letting a call go to VM, so it just helps when i know there's more than just '1' vm in my box... but thats just me.

Hey I live in Philadelphia, PA. as well and I just tried to leave myself 2 voicemails on my phone and my mogul is showing 2 unread voicemails after I left 2 of them. "DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DA," THIS IS A CAUSE FOR CELEBRATION, Sprint actually did something right for a change. The world is going crazy, maybe gas prices will drop, the economy will rise... hey Sprint got me thinking anything can happen now, LOL!!! But yeah I'm from philly and I can now actually see the amount of unread voicemails on my phone without any special plugins, using the newest 3.35 rom.

Sprints biggest coverage area, as well as most carriers are on the east coast if you look at their coverage maps, and even more heavily in the northeast region. So maybe they are starting from best coverage areas to worst, it sounds like that is the trend from the locations of where people are having success.

wtf is up with call centers (like sprint or comcrap) not having knowledge bases? is it that hard?!?

ex: customer 1 in hoboken has newfangled problem.
tech: hmm that's interesting. let me enter it *enters city in one box, type of phone in box 2, 5 or 6 keywords about the problem in box 3, the problem in box 4, and a solution if any in box 5.

this way, if someone asks a tech something they aren't sure about, they can search the knowledge base before they pull something out of their *** and add to the knowledge base so similar things can be cross-referenced.

No luck in Los Angeles, El Segundo area. We have 3 Moguls in a family plan and none is showing accurate # of VM. Using Sprint stock roms (1 is 2.09, the other two using the latest).

I am in the MAryland area and noticed it started abt two weeks ago. Its shows how many voice messages

Glad they updated it, its annoying when it shows one and you go to check and have 6 lol

I'm in the Irving/Dallas, TX area and mine showed two missed call notifications this morning. Is that the same as the voice mail notification? I'm on Sprint running No2Chem's 5060 from the PPCGeek's kitchen and the new Alltel 3.37 radio.

and i was really thinking about it, and coming back to winmo when the diamond comes out...

i went to use my phone yesterday, and it took 3 soft resets to get my phone app to launch, im running a custom rom..and i thought "this is crazy"

then this morning i got to work and forgot my usb cable to tether my laptop...and i needed to check a firearm auction(site blocked at work)...

then i opened up skyfire 0.6, and was so pleased with the browsing experience, i thought "why would i leave"???

so i dont know, im stuck, i want somin that works flawlessly, with most of the features i use until the diamond comes out. but also dont wanna give up winmo because of the versatility. So im still at square one

its cuz im running a custom rom, it never happend on the stock rom. actually i might just say eff it and revert to stock. gps is just a novelty for me right now anyways

skyfire is a device specific app tied to your cell #... if you dont get an invite from them, it wont work...
