This is AWESOME!! I have an exchange server with school but it will expire soon. I was looking for a new way and sure didn't want to PAY for it!!

THANKS!

Just a note, if you already have an exchange server set up in your phone, you will have to delete it to get this to work. Don't worry though, you wont loose any calenders, contacts, etc. To delete it, you have to go to Active Sync--> Menu --> Options. Select the current server and hit Delete. Now you will be able to setup the mail2web exchange server.

Anytime I have encountered a problem like that, it was a temporary problem on mail2web's side that fixed itself within an hour. Just to be sure make sure you go through your server settings and double check that everything was typed in correctly.

Does anyone else have a problem with this EXTREMELY draining your battery? I even tried setting the schedule so that it would only sync manually and it kept pushing them through. I don't get much mail on the weekends and Sat I kept trying to figure out why the battery was draining so quickly, but nothing seemed to work. Any suggestions on extending battery life? This is on a 700wx, btw.

I have not encountered an issue with mail2web draining the battery extremely, and I have a WX as well.

Could it be something else?

I don't think so, it didn't start until I'd added this. I'm in a 1x area, not EV-DO, could that be the reason? Everytime I look at my phone it's synchronizing or doing something concerning that. Before I added this I would just manually search for my Gmail account using outlook and I never had any problems with it. I like this better because it pushes, but I might have to rethink that if it keeps going at this rate. That or buy another battery!

Well it should not be connecting to the server every single time you look at it. Usually it will always check after a phone call since the data connection is not available while on the phone.

If your arrows are ALWAYS circling then maybe it's your signal or there's an issue with the server.

Only once I had a issue when the server was down and my WX kept trying to connect and it drained my battery. But after the server was back up everything was back to normal.

Being in a 1X vs. an EVDO area should not matter as far as battery consumptiom. A data connection is a data connection.

wide, im having an issue with A/S and my computer now ever since setting up my mail2web account. When I connect my USB to my PPC, it opens activesync and tries to connect to the exchange server, not my PC. I'll also get a message on my desktop that says activesync cannot complete syncronization. Other than deleting the server, im not sure what else to do!

Looks like we need a captcha for new user signups. I will alert Mike.
