Old Axim X51v as media server to TV - possible ?

I have my old X51v with WM6.1 just laying dormant in a drawer, which is a shame.

I was toying with an idea to set it up as a multimedia server. My TV has USB and PC (VGA) inputs.

So, say I set Axim on cradle next to TV and connect it to my router via WiFi, and hook it up to some powered laptop speakers. I can play music either from the memory card or Slacker, I know that much. What else can I do with it ? Can I stream media from my PC ? Can I stream video from the net ? What kind of software and hardware (e.g. USB to VGA connector) do I need ? Any ideas welcome !
