|
Nice!!!
I am going to spread the word at work if that's okay. I wanna make sure I can pass it on first. My customers would greatly appreciate that deal.
|
this is definitely a nice find! :D
i've been doing a little research on the sero plan, but i don't really understand it. i have another year left on my contract. right now, i have the 1000 min plan but i would perfer to have sero 1250 min plan for $50. this is what i picked up from treocentral.com: Sero Phone Plans: $30 - 500 minutes $49.99 - 1250 minutes $99.99 - 2500 minutes Additional Minutes: $5 for every 50 minutes for 501-1000. Anything above 1000 minutes is $0.10/min All plans include: - Nationwide Long Distance - Free roaming - Unlimited PCS-to-PCS - Unlimited Night & Weekend Minutes (starting @ 9) - Unlimited Vision/Power Vision access - Unlimited email and instant messaging - AOL, MSN and Yahoo - Unlimited Sprint PCS Picture Mail with Video Mail Also, there is no activation fee when activating a new line with a SERO phone plan so what should i do? do i need to buy a new phone in order for this to work? :? |
Yes this is what Im on and I love it! I got the 30 dollar because I dont talk much, but I do have n&ws @7 with a additional 10% off. I know some of yall out there have better. But you DONT have to get a new phone to do this. Most will tell you yes, but I got my phone through ebay preferredsourcing. And then after the first 2 months switched. The catch is you have to call and get a rep that knows about SERO and that is willing to switch you. Most will tell you, you have to get a new phone, and it has to be done online. Or some wont even know about it! I called for 48hours almost back to back when calling when I was off work. Until I finally found a guy that was like Ive been working for 4 months here and he knew about it! And he was like sure we can do that, hang on just a moment and didnt even ask me for an email address. :laughing6:

ohhhh okay...i see. :D
|
yea got my girlfriend changed last sunday. the only catch jamaa124, is that they basiclly added another year on to year onto her two year contract. she was already 1 year in. this is through retention by the way
|
I just called *2 myself......no retentions. and yea new contract, forgot about that. :D
~Mike |
thanks for in the info. i'm getting ready to call 8)
|
I'm on a F&F Family Plan (800 mins for $69.99), do they have SERO family plans or individuals only?
|
individual only if I'm not mistaken.
|
Yeah, sero is individual plan only. Now sero comes with 7pm so you don't have to beg for it.
|
i'm not having any luck yet, but i'm going to keep trying.
|
One of my friends is trying to swap to a sero plan as well. I just keep tellign him to kep calign back until you get a rep that will do it....gets hard though and frustrating
|
So why can't you call and get it switched? Is this only for new contracts? was gonna try and call tgo get mine switched...
|
You can call and get switched if you have the time to call, call, call, and call some more until you get the right Rep. My bro called twice in 2 hours and got it done. Whereas me I called 100s of times in 48hrs to get it done. :D

Thanks pibe
So i've been doing my research on SERO and asked them a few questions about mainting my previous number and they said that I am able to do it so thats a good thing, I would be coming from Verizon fyi, and it seems as though, if I am not mistaken that if i sign up by the end of the month i'll get the unlimited texting, which includes regular sms, picture and video messages? Can someone tell me if that is right? Also is Sprint in the habit of paying any part of a $175 early termination fee if you are migrating from another company? I'll end up making my early term fee back in savings after 9 months with sprint but everylittle bit helps a kid still in school lol. Also I see this 'power vision' is included, I looked on sprints website but there seem to be multiple power vision packs...does anyone know which comes with sero? Also does anyone know if there is a way to get the to include anything else for perks i.e. the free incoming for free? If anyone can help me it would be great. I am a little new and nervous to jump ship but the savings just cant be beat, and sprint can only go up so I am hopeful...Oh and also one last thing, online at the sero site I only see a limited selection of phones go as far as pda, aka the q, wx, 755p and the 6700, I do NOT see the 6800 should it be there? Also what is the price of it with a sero plan? Please and Thanks, the quicker the better I want to try to get this done by the end of the month for free texting...OHHHHHH last thing for real...this u.l texting for sms, and pic and vid, is this sprint to sprint only or all inclusive for all other carriers?? Thanks again. P.S. I keep using the email, 'savings@sprint.com' to go in and check the information for sero but am I supposed to be able to order online, or do I need to call now? Or do I need a sprint employee email now? thanks again... PH |
It's throught phone order only now and you can use the email savings@sprintemi.com. You can send sms, pic, and vid to any carriers.
|
WZero,
Thanks for the quick reply, ok so thats two questions down...only a few more 1. Is sprint sero in the habit, if anyone knows, of helping people to pay off their early term fee from another carrier? (highly doubtful i know but im hoppin) 2. What is the power vision pack that you get with the sero plan? 3. Do they have the other available phones located somehwere on the web that I can look at ie the 6800? or do i just find out over the phone? 4. Just thought of this, will they ask me for the employee email address when i talk to them on the phone? or because i already entered it and called will they not care? Thanks again for all the responses, almost there now, final stretch PH |
Ok so after a 20 or so minute call to CS (*2) I now switched to the 500min SERO plan, But the rep could not find info about the text msg. So I'm planning to just e-mail customer service about the txts.
EDIT: NVM I called retention and got them to add the unlimited txt's instantly... Awesome! Now I just gotta figure out how to afford a 6800... |
PerfectHybrid
as far as I know, if you order online with that email etc that's it - they won't ask you to verify anything etc. This isn't like a covert operation or anything; it's allowed. As for paying off your bill, I doubt it. Unless it's nextel, but even then it'd be a pain I bet. It's easy to xfer your old phone number though - DESPITE what they tell you. I had to call 3 times before I got a CS even willing to do it. The first two told me it'd take 2-4 days blah blah blah. And finally I got someone with two brain cells and she said up to 4 hours. It was almost instant btw. The "vision" package that comes with sero is basically everything. Any and all internet, email, mms, and now sms included. It also allows EVDO able phones access to the faster network, although I thought that was what power vision was for :-x The only thing it does "include" is tethering as far as I know, although people still do it without getting caught as long as you're not like using torrents or something. As for phones - just start the sero process - there'll be plans to select with phones available. |

I would call retention and have them straighten it up... |
Just a quick FYI for those going to sero from non sprint carriers. It seems as though when you first get your account (before the 30th) You will NOT have the ul texting promo on it. It is a code that has to be added once your account is no longer pending (which mine is and i guess anyone elses will until you get your phone and activate it) That being said I have also been 'assured' that for whateve reason if I do not get my phone before the 30th that they should still be able to put on the ul texting promo on as the guy said they rarely take the code out immediately. HOWEVER the promo feature is a CODE that they have in the system so as soon as the code is out of the system regardless of what happens you won't be able to do anything about it..to my knowledge anyways...you migh tbe able to get the ul texting package and have them give you the credit for it every month or something but figured i'd let people know that the promo has to be added after you account is out of pending status. Furthermore the who I got the phone trhough (telesales) said that with my $30/month plan I also qualify for the upgrade promos being 1-12 month= $0 13-18=$75 and 19-24+=$150 which struck me as odd as most of us thought that you needed a plan of 34.99 or higher however I will re confirm this once my account becomes active again and edit this post as needed.
So if you're looking for the ul texting promo on your account GET IT NOW (not vzw style hahaha get it? get it now??...ok) casue it is a code and will get bumped out of their system. Hopefulle this helps someone out there. PH |
hes right
yes with Sprint/Nextel you get a 75.00 rebate after one year to renew your contract and get a new phone (upgrade) : after two years you get 175. He is correct and I am glad you finally got onto the darn SERO! =D>

Courtney,
Do you know how hard it is to get a corp discount added to a sero account? I just tried and got shot down through email :-/ Is there a better way to do it? Also can a promo code discount be added to an account do you know? And yes I finally got it..my account is still in pending status though casue I havent activated the phone yet or recieved it...hell i dont even know if they shipped it yet haha btu they cant add the ul texting promo until its out of pending. On that note are you able to check account notes or delete them? Let me know. Thanks again for all your help! You're one of the reasons I was able to switch! PH |

On a off-topic side note, Which corp. do you work for to get your discount? Mine happens to come from the big blue box. |
If anyone would like to use my company email address just shoot me an email to wtc7676 @ gmail, and I will give you the info.
Will I do know that untill 6/30, it comes with unlimited texting. |
adding sero to 4-line family?

We use close to 1900 minutes monthly at $129/2100m plan. Don't text more than 20msg because of the $0.30/msg, and the current $99/2500+unlm txt would come really useful. any additional info would greatly be appreciated. By the way, adding an additional line through ebay's mojowireless to get a Mogul for $99 + 2yr contract. Will get a cheapo large phone on ebay to swap out for grandma, and of course, i'll keep the 6800/mogul. *grin* |

I would like to switch my existing number to a SERO plan as well. |

I have a SERO plan and I have tried to get my corp. discount added twice, but no go. The CSR said they would put it through, the first gave me the new billing date but I never got it. Is there a two step process or some kind of review that is done? The last CSR manually gave me the corp. discount and said she would put in notes that I should get it, but nada.
Thanks for any info. |
If anyone is interested, the sprintusers forum has a list of Sprint numbers that are more or less up to date. They have numbers that have no wait time.
You can visit the list of numbers here: http://www.sprintusers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=49124 Hope this helps. I still haven't had luck switching, I'm still trying. |
hmm
You shouldn't have much trouble adding your discount. I know a few people who have theirs, no problems. Maybe you should go into a direct store with the proper business IDs and they can help you apply it.
