No i didnt... Im still trying to sort out some remaining issues with my previous post.

For instence... Some of the popup buttons still point to the arcsoft client, and the popup that says you have x amount of txt msgs doesnt go down when you mark them as read in Tmail.

Yeah, I noticed that too, but at least tmail is available. I've noticed if you get one message it directs to arcsoft (where you just mark everything as read to get rid of notifications) but if you get more than one it directs to tmail.

Also, if you set arcsoft to not save sent messages, tmail doesn't either.

Very odd.

Hey com, a little aside, but did you get GPS working by chance? I'm using iGo8 and it wont pick up my gps module for some reason.

Oh, did LG or VZW lock down GPS on the Fathom? I thought VZW stopped doing that. :-({|=

Does Google Maps and Bing Nav work?

I replied to someone's concern about this on Howard Forums:

Settings/Personal/Phone/CDMA Services/GPS - Get Settings/Location On --
Went back to Google Maps and after about 30 seconds, "Seeking GPS satellites (0)..." changed to "GPS active (4)"

Magically, the updated Bing for Verizon's Privacy Policy now actually loads. Pressed Accept. Validating Authorization Status flashed by and then Permission to Locate came up after accepting the ToS. Pressed Done to accept the default access time (24x7). Pressed Save at the Privacy Summary. Unless Bing uses triangulation as a fallback as well, I think the GPS is working in there too.

Hope that relieves your concerns as well and we can get back to the topic at hand-- removing the dreaded Arcsoft client. Anybody tried messing around with the Settings/System/Memory/Clear Storage/Custom Configuration to see if it has any clues on removing the Arcsoft? The Tips, Hints and Shortcuts manual states, "This will erase all data and install the enterprise's custom configuration."

Thanks! lol

umm, when i first realized what was going on and how complicated this was going to be to remove. i did a hard reset on the phone then i remembered that wm6.5.3 doesnt have a presetup. so all the stuff doesnt "install" like it did in the older roms upon first startup.

my above link sorta works, like 95% of the way. however, there are still a few anomalies...
like, if you hit the reply button in the pop up for a "new" txt... it takes you to the arcsoft client. also, for some reason the number of "new" texts in the pop up doenst go down till you run the arcsoft client and it "sees" that they are read.

I'm not sure that this is working. I cannot use google maps as I have data disabled and bing "can't find gps module". I had already done the gps location on setting, but for some reason still can't get gps working. If I use GPSoneapp (or something like that) which is tucked away in the windows folder, I can acquire a location eventually. However, I can't for the life of me get iGo working with it as it can't seem to find which com port the gps is associated with.

Worked great on my touch pro. You guys sure it isn't using your data?

In b4 asking me how I don't pay for data/have it disabled. No need for it so it's gone from my life.

I don't know if this is relevant, but GPS needs to first load a satellite table. The old way, was to load it from a randomly found satellite, but that made initial location lock very very slow to acquire. The new way, is to load the table via the internet. That allows a much, much faster initial location lock, but does require data. I wonder if this is what you are tripping upon?

Do you have these keys set, and if so, to what?

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\MsgType s\IPM\Note\DLL
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\MsgType s\IPM\SMStext\DLL
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Setting s\OEM\SMSInboxThreadingDisabled

Well, like I said, no data on the htc touch pro either and iGo 8 works fine. No, the problem seems to be that the gps module can't be found on any serial ports. It occurs to me that the program may not support the module perhaps? Though I don't see how it could be too different from the touch pro's module.
