and HTC's case against apple is pretty weak when you look at what apple has against HTC, even though at lot of it should be directed at google, HTC still has to answer for it. so i'm pretty sure htc's lawyers aren't exactly strutting around, nothing to strut for |
Re: HTC Threatens hackers with legal action for distributing ROMs.
Let's lay out the facts
First of all, its real Second, HTC claims its because the site serves no purpose other then as a mirror for their intellectual rights and property, legally this is all in their favor Conflipper is hosting ROMS, as well as certain ones not released yet, that are copyrighted by HTC. HTC as already said hands off, but it's gotta be with stuff they're okay with. If they really wanted to be cruel, they could restrict any ROM development, but they know its a love-hate relationship ATM its a C&D he's gonna have to deal with, as its real intellectual rights, and HTC now has Microsoft lawyers at their disposal. |

I would think that Microsoft would be sending the letter....Isn't it new builds of Windows Mobile we are flashing ?
Good job HTC, kill off the one thing that us WM users love the best about your phones.... Maybe I'll be watching out for a different maker for my next phone. |
