That's not true at all (unless you're just referring to the fact that you'll still need an external GPS unit if you want to use TomTom). I had a 4GB card that I was using with my Mogul and I had both TomTom and iguidance working on it with no problems. I have since switched to a Touch and a 6GB card (wanted the extra RAM of the Touch and needed a bigger card so I could fit some more music, videos, etc.) and I'm running the same programs on the Touch as well.

Really? Why is that? I have no experience with running GPS software with a PPC. I couldnt run TomTom Nav 6 w/ a US map on 2gb? I thought it shipped retail on a 1gb card as it was?

Perhaps you just mean the lack of GPS on the Mogul? It has now been confirmed that the Mogul is indeed getting GPS enabled after new years and it's hardware has an internal antenna supporting Stand Alone aGPS mode.

There's a special at Newegg.com for a 4 GB Micro SDHC Card for $40.99 + $4.99 shipping AND $10 mail in rebate.

Right now it seems that Newegg's site is down so just check it later.

I went ahead and bought me the sandisk 4gb microsd for 36.89 at http://www.amazon.com/Sandisk-MicroS...5857213&sr=8-6
I think its a good price, no where near that price as far as I know.

well 4 GB may be the first to be marked SDHC, but has anyone tried out a 6 GB with no problems at all? besides, i found them on ebay for less than $80 a while ago, but i better do some more homework on it first to make sure i'm not steering anyone in the wrong direction.

Perhaps. LOTS of things have been "confirmed" that have not turned out to happen. I do not recommend holding your breath. Believe me, I'd love to be mistaken about this but I really believe that when the long-awaited ROM is released I will not be able to run TomTom the way you (and I) want to without an external GPS unit.
