Question: Unlocked phone, stock rom flash from .exe? Safe?

Yes, i've done a search before asking a question. I found a few threads but... none of them were clear enough for me to risk bricking my phone if i'm wrong about this.

I'm running a HTC TP CDMA(verizon specifically) with NFSFAN 1.05 rom and i have a weird bug pop up. I want to flash back to the stock verizon rom as supplied by cokeman(thanks) in this thread

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=42741

Obviously, my phone is unlocked to install a custom rom.

I've never flashed an unlock phone with an .exe do i need to relock before doing this?

I reverted back to a stock rom on my old mogul and relocked to deal with verizon customer service. i understand why relocking is necessary there but i'm not certain it is needed in this case.

Long question short.

Can i use that stock rom cokeman supplied with out relocking first? Safely.
