New Ipad or the Google Nexus 7

I'm looking into getting a new tablet and have narrowed it down to two options. The ipad3 or the nexus 7. Which is better?

I don't know which is better, but I use my nook color for streaming video using adobe flashplayer, which IPads can't do. If that matters to you. I'd choose the nexus.

Re: New Ipad or the Google Nexus 7

Not exactly the same, but I have a hp touchpad, and going by size alone, I'm starting to swing in the 7" direction. While I like the large 10" screen for web browsing, doing everything else like using apps/reading news/books I'm starting to want a smaller 7" because it's easier to hold

on a side note, now that Google Fiber is in KC and the fiber+tv package provides a free nexus 7... I may not have to choose too hard :P

I'm more the sort of person who prefers tablets with 3G built in, for the occasions where I would need data on the go.

I lucked out and scored an AT&T Pantech Element contract free for $150 on Craigslist. 8inch, waterproof, 4G LTE, 16GB, microSD slot, great battery life, etc. Yes, it's running HC vs ICS or even JB, but it's very portable, and I stuck in a StraightTalk sim and enjoyed HSPA+ (faux G) my entire trip last week.

Call me crazy but I prefer it to the Nexus 7. If the Nexus had a cellular modem, it would be complete for me. Yes, I can tether but then I'm wasting the battery of 2 devices vs 1.

Re: New Ipad or the Google Nexus 7

I thought the flash issue was fixed on the new ipad? I don't think I'd want the 3g either way but it's a good option to have I suppose. How strong is the screen on the nexus? I've heard there's been issues...

Re: New Ipad or the Google Nexus 7

Hey Dan
I have an iPad2 and when I compares it's performance with other tablets I finds mine better. iPad3 is the successor with retina display and improved performance. I will recommend you to go for iPad3.

Nexus 7 is better.
Considering few reasons.
1. Cost.
2. Free os android. You have to pay for some application in ipad 3
3. Mostly you will use google products on internet like youtube, google plus, gmail and google play, google crome. All are free , simple fast and integrated in android.
4. Voice and video quality is also very good in nexus 7
If you consider price and value for money nexus 7 is better.
If yo consider apple brand name and showman ship ipad3 is better.
