setCPU
 
i finally rooted my phone and installed setCPU anyone know the best settings for the lg optimus s? im lost completely

It all depends on what ur phone handles.. try playing with it and see what works best for you. Thats what im doing w my wifes..

You may want to warm up to the higher speeds, meaning start at roughly the stock speed of 600mhz, run linpack or quandrant a few times, increase the speed, run linpack or quadrant a few times, etc. There are reports that this type of "conditioning" can help to get to as high as 800+ mhz, if that is important to you.

thanks for the tip[s right now mine is set to 806 max and 245 min and phones running pretty smooth, as far as profiles do u know what setting should be in there?

No, sorry. I run mine at 245/748 where I don't have any problems on bootups. But the processors are very individualistic in terms of how fast they can be OC'd to and booted up on w/o issues. 'Fraid it's largely an iterative process for each user/phone.
