How is Angry Birds on the Optimus S?

I have a hero that Ive done just about everything to. Im thinking of getting this Optimus S to mess around with untill the dual core phones come out next year. Is it true that Angry Birds plays just as good on this phone then it does on an Evo? If so, ill be picking one up.

I can't say as to how it plays on that device as I have not used it personally but I have heard it on good authority that the bird's anger level has remaind unaffected if that helps.

Status of nation is currently terror level Orange. The TSA say they do not feel that it is fair to task them with preventing these attacks as the birds do no fly on air planes. However the political pigs in power still insist that the only way to ensure the security and prosperity of our nation is by taking away the rights of private citizens (patriot act) and giving away billions of dollars to company's that have proven incapable of managing money and then placing the burden of that debt on tax payers their children and their children's children.

Re: How is Angry Birds on the Optimus S?

Funny, but not quite what he asked, so...

It doesn't run quite as good as it does on an evo, but it's far ahead of how it runs on a moment/intercept/any sprint phone not named evo or epic. It plays, the colors are correct, and there is very very little lag, especially after deleting some of the bs and enabling jit.

Re: How is Angry Birds on the Optimus S?

I do not own one...but..

The Optimus S unlike the Hero has a 600mhz snapdragon processor....

so if you were to compare it to an EVO:

1000mhz - 600mhz
Adreno 200 - Adreno 200

aka they got same GPU...

What ends up differing is the WVGA on the Evo and 320 x 480 on the Optimus S...

So considering the resolution it should definitely be on par with the EVO for gaming in general as long as the resolution is accounted for (which lately Angrybirds did add)..

Re: How is Angry Birds on the Optimus S?

Overall Angry Birds is smooth. There is lag when a new level loads, however if you wait a couple of seconds the lag goes away and then it is lag-free again.

Went to the Sprint store today and played with an Optimus S. This is going to be my girlfriend's new phone, and Angy Birds plays great and it.

Re: How is Angry Birds on the Optimus S?

Hello, we r new to the android market, coming from HTC wm6.1 I grabbed up two optimus s, free, and am now loving this new Android stuff. I put Angry Birds on, and so far its smooth and fun, havent noticed any lag, however the wife says her opt s freezes up sometime, still tying to figure that one out.

Re: How is Angry Birds on the Optimus S?

You all need to root it and have even more fun. Rooting w/Z4 takes less than a minute. Doing that allows you to install an application to rid it of the advertisements.
