Evo, galaxy whats next?

I just got an Evo and now the Galaxy is coming. Its way to early to jump to the Galaxy considering I havnt had the Evo for very long so whats going to smash the Galaxy? What phone is next in the rumor mill? Seriously I normaly wouldnt consider a Samasung phone but considering its running android its as if the phone is already exactly like my Evo except for the obvious things like the GPU and such. If Sprint wasnt getting a Galaxy with a keyboard it would be a lot easy to push this phone to the back of my mind but unfortunitly Sprint got the keyboard and bam its a great competitor if not compatition smasher.

I gotta stick with the Evo though its just way to soon to be swapping phones especialy for something that isnt a total game changer. That was not at all bashing the Galaxy. In fact I cant even image what the Galaxy will become once its unlocked and the devs get there hands in it and tweak things.

Re: Evo, galaxy whats next?

like i said in your other thread i liked the epic better than my evo, felt better/faster and the screen is sweet and im a htc fan. hummingbird ran fast but evo seemed close. only had epic for 2hrs but i liked it.

Re: Evo, galaxy whats next?

For me the issue is that it typically takes longer for the DEVs to get root on a Samsung device because they use a proprietary file system. And, once root is achieved, it is typically more difficult to root a Samsung device than an HTC device.

I know it was a pain to get root on my Moment when I first got it, at least in comparison to my Hero or EVO.

Knowing sprint they probably won't release any new android phones this year...the epic and evo are different form factors so they let it slide...otherwise if they do release something by years end it will be a WP7 phone...

All Galaxy S phones have been rooted day 1..mostly since Samsung gave out the source code from day 1 :/..and rooting is 1 click of a button like all the others.
