Most developers abandoned winmo long ago...one of the biggest reasons I switched. The majority of the apps are years old.

who cares about that app? assistant free on WM can do the same things that wells fargo app can do. I said to list things besides apps.

And damn the no naming apps.. how can you leave that out when apps are pretty much what DRIVE smartphones? It's like having a phone with a 4.4" screen, a 5 ghz processor, a super super amoled screen that can read your mind and function without touching a button... but the only thing you can do with it is make calls, email and text. Seems rather pointless to me. Whats an iphone without apps? Same with droid?... well thats what winmo is.

Wow. The TP2 is still a better business oriented device than the Evo and frankly, I like 6.x better than Android. The only thing the Evo has going for itself is: speed. Nothing more. Each time I have upgraded, I did not rely upon the previous device. This time I am still using the TP2 for data entry on every level, Excel and HanDBase. I have DTG installed on the Evo and yet I prefer Excel. It is nice being able to move that screen around, but it is nicer to be able to handle formulas and copy cells in a much more fluid manner. The Evo is fast though. The TP2 has 2 speakers, sounds better; the Evo has 1 speaker and sounds like, well, it sounds bad. It is fast though. The TP2 and 6x meet my needs far better than the Evo/Android.

Come on now dude.. you're talking to someone that had a tp2. The speaker sounds better? lol....:evil4::evil4::evil4: I guess thats why winmo is failing because the majority of people that buy phones dont use them for business. Too bad ms waited too late to wake up and see that.

so tired of folks sayin android isnt good for business. I run a business and it works perfectly in 99% of the business related situations that i need. You guys have examples of the Android enterprise shortfall? im not saying that there arent any just want to know what you guys mean.

I've had a Nexus One, an HD2, and an iPhone. I still like Windows mobile for some things:

Zuma

Experiment 13

Office Mobile (I know there are Android alternatives, but IMO nothing as good)

smooth as hell on a 1ghz snapdragon.

More UI customizations and lockscreens, although Android is coming along very well in that department.

Better Emulators (ATM)

a couple more things maybe.

Android, on the other hand offers

more/better apps,

less resource hog,

LWPs (I love me some LWPs)

update your ROM without a hard reset

continued developers and app support

more than 1 device running on a snapdragon/hummingbird

many many more features.

For me the HD2 is the perfect device. I have an awesome/stable/sweet 6.5 ROM and I can load up an awesome/stable/sweet Android 2.2 ROM with new builds coming out daily. I can benchmark from 1500-1900 depending on my ROM, build, and settings and OC to 1190 mhz. There is much development on Android for the HD2, we have awesome ROMs where literally EVERYTHING works (my current sense UI 2.2 ROM has no bugs at all), we have a full CM6 port, just needs some bugs tweaked.

Any time I want to play Zuma or get on office mobile or get a new WinMo ROM flashed I can do that too. I think I'll stick with my HD2 WinMo/Android rig till something AWESOME comes out.

So in essence.. things the average user could care less about. Not to mention pretty much all stock winmo roms suck and the majority if not all of them have some type of bug.. be it big or small. That was the main thing I got tired of.. flashing roms was cool but then you almost always had to give up some type of functionality in the process.
