Is Google The Real Life Skynet? :confused2:

(First i want to apologize if this is posted in the wrong area i didn't know where to post this)

Well now it seems as if google is growing more and more everyday since its birth in 1998. From being a simple but good search engine to rumors of a Google OS. now i hear google uses our information from sources like Gmail & Android OS to make money. it seems as if google is giving us great software in return to spy on us and sell us so corporations learn how to get to consumers. could it be possible that google can one day try to have 80-90% if not total control, Because as we know technology is in fact the future and google seems like they are doing a great job pleasing the people while selling our information, this way its a shady win win. I don't know if google can in fact be the real life "Skynet" with all these developments they have that please the people and corporate wallets or if i should just stop watching the terminator Flims. what do you think?

This ^ . Worst case scenario, google figures out what I like so they can advertise the things that I might want to buy. Sounds like a benefit to me.

i will have to agree. better then having diaper ads when your looking for a HDTV.

Man I kid you not... the other day I was riding around looking for a BBQ place and was searching using google maps. So I get home and im sitting there eating and pop open my explorer... sign in and check my gmail. The next page I went to had BBQ pop-ups all over it LOL!!!!!!! I was like welp... I guess they know what im doing.
