How do you change the program icons in the kitchen? I looked every where but can't figure it out. Or if there is a tutorial, that would be awesome.

I have created My own PKG with ICON png that I like along with my Registry that ties the icons to the programs in the start menu, here's what i did.

Find an icon for each folder/application you like drop them into a single folder, move to your Storage card on you phone.

Download and install this app. to your storage card.

Also you want to make sure you apps are already in your folders organized the way you want, there's a great app by same developer called program manager that easily allows you to manage the folders, create move delete etc.

So once you have you layout setup, open Icon Changer and long press an icon to change it, browse to you storage card folder with your icons. Go through and do this for all your icons and get them exactly how you want. You will also want to arrange your icons in the proper order.

Once finished save your Theme and Name it, you can stop here if you want to just launch the app after build and load your theme or if you wanna cook it in like i did you need to backup a registry point for your EXT your creating to be applied at build.

Use a reg editor and backup the following -> HKLM -> Security -> Shell -> "StartInfo" I backup the entire thing.

Then take the .reg and rename it app.reg
Open this with notepad and use the replace feature to replace \windows\iconcache (double sheck the reg file and make sure you have correct spelling etc.) with just \windows and save it.

Now take your Folder you put on your storage card with all your .PNGs in it and name it files.

Place both of these into a Folder named zz_MyStartIcons or what ever you want after zz_

So inside you zz_folder you should have app.reg and folder called files with all you icons.

At boot you icons and saved ordering will be applied, hope you found this helpful.

What's your opinion on the ALLIEDMgr.dll that you use that has I cannot control with the notification settings? I simply use one from a stock Telus ROM to work the way I want. Is it only a VZW specific problem?

One thing I note about Calk 23541 sys and other 6.5.5 builds is that there is a bounce back feature that he restores, for example if I got to the start menu and slide my finger from top to bottom you see the whole menu go down and bounce back slightly.

In SYS leaks from XDA that are modded to work with this kitchen you don't get that bounce back. There was a 23541 SYS posted before Calk added it to the kitchen If I build with this I don't get the bounce back but with the RC2 23541 I do.

I actually prefer not to have this as i find it lags the Menu Enhancement sometimes. Can anyone tell me what files to change to restore the non-bounceback scrolling feature.

Is is something to do with BIOTOUCH or something like that?

I do see the bounce back. Its more like a soft end of the scroll. Doesn't bother me.

@Calkulin I just looked at Groove's titanium rom 23541 and he has the Large Button Dialer working with this build. I know You said the large dial pad was only available in 6.1 and 6.5 builds. I Tried the reg edit you posted but i got the Scroll bar to the right of the dialer.

@indagroove can you share with us how you were able to get the large dial pad working without the scrollbar on the 235xx builds?

I do Like it although with Menu Enhancement it will act like its in slow motion when you drag the menu to far up or down, not a big deal and I am not requesting he change it, i simply want to know how I can change it for my personal build.
