Re: [ Kitchen ][ 1-11 ][ v1.4 ][ 23518 / 21888 / 21056 ] Calkulin's Visual WVGA Kitch
You can handle anything that prompts by placing it in /XDA_UC/SD instead of XDA_UC
You might try that.

This is the procedure I jotted down years ago to create the cab.
For PPC Certificate: Install SSLChainServer on your work desktop Run (in DOS Command Prompt Window) SSLChainSaver www.<yourdomain>.com Rename *.wm6.xml _setup.xml makecab _setup.xml SSLCertVirgin.cab Install CAB on PPC Then setup email account for exchange |

A search of the 1.4 directory structure shows "23518" exists in "SYS", "ROM\TOUCH_Pro2", and "ROM\Shared". Do we simply copy all three instances to those respective directories in the 1.33 structure? Thanks! |

When checking the battery status, I used to be able to view the last time the battery had a full charge. Now, with this kitchen, there is an HTC app taking over the battery status. I prefer the old windows battery status screen. How do I disable the HTC one and enable the windows one. Below is a screen shot of the HTC program battery status what I don't want.

I ran into a strange problem.
I can't get Text To Speech working in iGuidance 2009 if Voice Command is enabled. This is on 23518 (using V1.33 Kitchen). It's always something, I'm almost ready to throw in the towel. I had seen reports of iGuidance not doing TTS before and I had run into it a while back where it could not find the speech DLL's on the storage card. But this is different. It's 100% reproducable and if I start iGuidance first and then start Voice Command, Voice Command complains it cannot start. I also tried installing an older version of Voice Command on top and it still would not work. Last edited by mswlogo; 01-18-2010 at 12:53 AM. |

Re: [ Kitchen ][ 1-11 ][ v1.4 ][ 23518 / 21888 / 21056 ] Calkulin's Visual WVGA Kitch
mswlogo,
I have noticed the same thing with Iguidance but I found a way to make it work. I go into the VC settings and change the notification options to Announce notification using bluetooth hands free. Once I do that I run Iguidance once more and then soft reset the phone. After the reboot I go back into the VC setting and change it back to announce notitications through device speaker or wired headset only. After doing that change back if I go into I guidance I will get the complete notification and not just " in XXX feet please turn right onto ...." It will completely announce the next direction including the street to turn on. Edit.. I install the cab directly onto the device now and not the storage card after having some other issues with my TP1 doing the same thing. I wish I could tell you what it changes by doing this but I have not had the time to look at any of the iguidance files. Last edited by DonC; 01-18-2010 at 01:08 AM. |
