Is that my problem? Do I have to build with the HTC client for messaging to work right? Or maybe I missing something else? Any ideas?

per my previous post...I have built a 6.5.X ROM on the 28005 build. Sent MMS thru album with no issues (did have to set up a CDMA server manually prior) If that helps any...

It's not MMS that is the problem. I can't even send or read a regular text. MMS sends fine. Happened in the 1a kitchen, too, so I know it's something I'm missing or skipping.

If you want the most trouble-free messaging, my advice is to go in and rip out HTC Message 1.07.281.2 from the OEM directory (I think it's in that one).

That'll give you the stock SMS/MMS stuff.

I tried that, but I ended up with a ROM that didn't boot. :(

Yup, same in 21882.

Fix: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\Owner --> Hide --> Set to "0"

Soft reset

It comes back :-)

Thanks, that did the trick. I can also confirm that the BT hang up problem is fixed! =D>:headbang:=D>

I'm finishing up the final touches on the kitchen, so the final version will be sometime today

Is there a way to make the start menu icons a little bigger? They just seen a little smaller than the other roms I've tried.

Kitchen or ROM? Because if your using the kitchen, all you have to do is uncheck the 4 row start menu but if your using the ROM, I can make a cab to restore the default 3 row

cab file would probably do.
Thanks
