mind if I bump this...I have been installing this cab as well as the white theme darkNinja has for 6.5.x builds...would love to be able to just cook it in additionally...2 less cabs to install. Attached is the white theme I mentioned...

As seen in the screenshot, I keep getting stuck with the Microsoft(?) volume control. I don't want that ugly thing! I do have the HTC volume control included in the ROM when I build but not sure if there's a conflict with something or other?

Is there anyway to disable the toolbar at the top? I found it conflict with wktask. I am using 23542. Thanks.

if your installing an older taskbar that has not been updated with the dll from the newer htc volume control it will break the htc and show the stock 1

alright i need someone to explain to me what im doing wrong. for some odd reason the disable txt msg reg edit wont stick! i have to always install the cab. before you answer, i found the edit in calk's tweaks but something is overwriting it.. and that darned 2016 issue is showing back up. have been seeing it in my last few roms. hmmm.....any ideas?

Hey Gadgetfreak, did you ever fix the square iconned taskbar that you show in your sig(the top one) to work with 6.5.x and the HTC enhanced notifications? I love that taskbar and wanna use it again but it was corrupting the HTC enhanced notifications screen.

I need to do that still. Once I started getting into building my own ROMs and then releasing my Diamond one publicly, I moved away from doing taskbars. However, I'm starting to get the urge to create again, so a 6.5.x tb conversion will happen, just so I can get some practice. I've been looking at some of those Android conversions and they are nice, but not complete. That drives me nuts...

Here ya go man, try this... I swapped out the phcanOverbmp.dll and made the cab pre-provision your _setup.xml.
***BTW, the cab you posted is for 6.5, right? It killed my 6.5.x buttons (on the bottom) but the taskbar is still great.***

I also attached the EXT I made from NinjaDark's original. It has the file I used in it (as a module of course).

Flashed with odd results
 

Ok, I finally took the plunge, used the kitchen, and flashed my phone. I used 28232 (most recent should be less buggy, right?) and the flash itself went fine.

Observations:
1. You can't do *22899 in the proximity of a Verizon Network Extender. Glad it is not raining here as I had to walk out to a field to get away from the thing.

2. The opening wallpaper had that neat sickle streak in it and like a dumbbutt, I changed the wallpaper and now can't get rid of it to get back to the sickle.

3. I tried a different color theme and the buttons on the bottom row (Start, return, etc) have disappeared on me.

4. How do I turn the fool phone off? I held down the END button and it gives me a long vibration and nothing else. I stumbled on psShutdownXP in the Programs. What's the deal with the vibrating End key and nothing else?

5. On the Home page, the taskmgr and time are overlapped. I think I saw someone mention that before, but with so many msgs in this thread, I haven't found it again.

Suggestions?
