Just tried the kitchen and my nbh file ended up 189 mb. I am not sure what options to select to get a bare ROM with sms, mms, wifi. I was using the 23542 sys.

What should pagepool be set to?

I am a verizon user.

This may sound basic but take out anything you don't use. That'll get your ROM smaller. Mine's 157 mb and isn't that bare. I have about 10 mb worth of ringtones and a few applications that I probably should get rid of. Play around with things to see what you use and don't use and then just start pulling stuff from the kitchen. My PP is at 16 by the way.

I am not sure what some of the options are for. Some just stand out, like windowslive, etc. I was happy with my first rom until I used file explorer and it locks up everytime. Also, would you happen to know how to get rid of the Qualcomm screen that comes up initially? Why no sound from YouTube? Is it related to using LFX compression?

i'm trying to get rid of task manager, marketplace and mail setup from the start menu and put them somewhere else. i'm pulling my hair out trying to track them down. i've found several proxml files with info in them but i'm clueless how to read to files or how to alter them to not include the shortcuts or move them somewhere else.

23106 does seem faster than 23542 but no office 2010

Just an FYI, the reason I don't do updates package is because sometimes I do minor changes or updates to various things and don't post it the change log, not so for R3 but in the future, I would suggest you make your own packages and just carry them over kitchen to kitchen like I do because if you have problems, I won't be able to help you if your just copying new stuff to a old kitchen

definitely understood, i just hate having to start from scratch with each update when its not a lot of tweaks (which you usually mention not in the change log but in conversation with us). I greatly appreciate your work as do everyone here. i just like having my kitchen set up cause its easy for me to navigate and add things.

For all interested, 23544 released at HTCPedia today. Here is the SYS/XIP for Calk's kitchen. Timebomb removed, Beta watermarks removed, dialer fixed and Calk's icons added. Setup for this kitchen. Just add to sys and rom folders.
