Thnx for the new kitchen!!

understand 3.9 is included...AWESOME

found this over at XDA...will attempt to cook in this new kitchen and see if its worth everyone's time.

never mind...its an .exe that has to be run from the programs file folder in the main memory...I'm not sure how to make THAT into a EXT...but will still run it and see how it does!!

Also have trouble with internet connection. Is there a need in this kitchen to install NoPushInternet? Or any of the recommended cleans and tweaks? Like ICS and WModem Fix for modem stealth mode, Enable Rapi, Disable Verizon SMS Message Sent, Enable All Camera Modes, or SSK TP2 Dynamic Resource Proxy?

edit: oh yeah, using 6.5.x build 23541 with the latest Manila version and MaxManila

I have seen this before with certain tsk's or could be your graphics driver or a bad flash.

Anyone use the AP Mobile app from the Microsoft Marketplace? I'm running 23541 6.5.x and manilla 2012.1412 and it doesn't seem to wanna work. When you first start the spp, it asks for your zipcode and says to wait while it sets up. It gets stuck there. If you then close and go back in it tries to download news articles but never does. It just continues to try.

I don't have this issue with 23540, with the same ROM setup.

Yea don't worry too much, I just flashed J's custom ROM to test it out and its having the same problem with AP Mobile.

Must be a problem with AP

I've seen this before. Are you installing any cabs from no2chem (nueROM)? Another thing, you don't need that resource proxy cab on a cooked ROM.

Same here but I only really notice it in landscape. Especially when entering a sub-menu. I'll generally add it to my build but leave it disabled via the app.reg in the VK.
This is what your looking for:
Code:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\GWE\Menu]
"CUIHandler"=dword:00000001 ;0=disable 1=enable

*FIXED* It was the VSync option. They are fast as hell when it's disabled.
Code:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\HTCMenus]
"EnableVSync"=dword:00000000

If you want to see what the WM menus are like w/out completely disabling HTCMenus add this and then disable HTC Sense:
Code:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\HTCMenus]
"EnableManilaCheck"=dword:00000001

%CE11% is the folder thanks, that helps

-I attached a copy of my reference to all the parsed names

-Also, you can use xml to "move" a file.
I've set up individual xml's for each link, It may be a little time consuming at first but I only have to add 1 or remove one when I build a new app in.
I attached a few of those that I throw in Sashimi's xml folder.

-And Finally... Either I've found the Best Placebo EVER or this really does improve the display a thousand times over
(Mainly motion, like sliding the M2.5 Quicklinks up/down and weather animations).
I Pulled it from an HD2 thread, and I only tried it after reading up a bit on DDI functions in WindowsCE.
To put it in laymans terms (that is, if I even skimmed it correctly at 4AM) It seems to default every surface that DDI draws to the highest possible colordepth instead of letting the OS+ddi.dll sort out which color depth to use.
*Warning* I don't know if this is SYS-dependant
I can tell you that 28232 & M2.5 are lovin'it!
Code:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\GDI\DRIVERS]
"Bpp"=dword:00000018

Cheers!

I feel like a newly hired bus-boy stepping into a 5-star restaurant....

Can any of you talented chefs point me to some tutorials on how to effectively use this kitchen. I have some limited basics down...now I am trying to learn (without clogging up this thread) how to add EXT's, etc.

Much thanks....I am now headed back to the potwashing sink

It seems to me that simply moving or deleting the shortcuts in the kitchen via an EXT with app.dat gives you more control, and will speed up first boot time by eliminating unecessary .provxml files. That's what I do anyway.
