An update on this kitchen causing my phone to lock up...

Same sort of thing is still happening. I cooked a 28xxx ROM last night, didn't cook in any custom cabs, just removed a few things (chome editor etc) and built the ROM as is.

Flashed it last night and headed out. Less than an hour later the phone was locked up. Turning it on would reveal the home screen stuck at the time it froze, the time in the task bar was correct though. I soft reset it and it was going fine again for a bit.

30 mins later, it locked up the same way again. I soft reset it and dropped it back in my pocket. Checked it 30 mins later to see it stuck on the loading screen. Soft reset again and it got stuck on the fake bios screen. Soft reset again and stuck at the touch pro 2 splash.

Hard reset and let it sit. It froze up again over night. I reset it this morning and stuck at the touch pro 2 splash again. Another hard reset and I remove my SIM and SD card... got it up and running and came here to post. Went to open Opera and it froze while loading. Soft reset and stuck at the touch pro 2 screen again.

Hard reset again and here I am. Sigh. I will post up my ROM and erv in a couple hours when I get home if anyone is willing to try it to see if its my phone or my computer. This sucks.

I agree who cares it's their loss certainly not mine. I had already dumped it anyway.

It reminds me of when Metallica used to beg people to by the tapes, they couldn't give them away. Once they got big they want 25 cents just to say their names. Sad.

Try flashing to stock, then back to your custom rom. That can clear up issues.

You said "tapes"...hahaha...I remember those times!!!

Anyhow...I tried to create an acc't with borders thru the e-reader tab...to chk things out...it said that I can't connect to server. All other data links worked fine except for that...not a big deal...but just wanted to report the issue (yes, I know its a beta kitchen.)

Did you try the .erv file I posted for you to try. Look back through my posts to find it. Working solid for me on Sprint. 28230 will have have to proove itself again over 28223 which had proven itself. But so far so good with 28230.

My only issue is Appt's being off by 1hr between Outlook PC and Outlook PPC during daylight savings time. But this problem is pretty wide spread.

P.S. From an earlier build my wife went 2.5 days and her battery was still at 90% she barely used the phone during that time, but still this is fantastic.

One suggestion I'd like to make for folks is to Shut OFF the Quiet Ring on Pickup. I think this may cause some problems. This links the GSensor into fiddling with Volume while a Call is coming in. I think this is asking for trouble. It also seems to often forget to put the volume back sometimes. I tend to have issues with trying to answer a call with it on.

I also ALWAYS shutoff auto brightness as it tends to eat battery.

Also NEVER leave opera running. Even though it works well it's a total pig.

Agreed. Word gets around. PO enough people and they won't have ANY users, nevermind no WM users. They need to wise up over there.
