Re: [ Kitchen ][ 2-8 ][ v1.51 ][ 23529 / 21891 / 21056 ] Calkulin's Visual WVGA Kitch

(FIXED) Data issues after 1.51 (phone hangs ups - cant get data password to stick)

I'm in verizon, unlocked and using oli's patched radio

I build a 1.51 23529 (loaded w/verizon carrier) last night as an upgrade to 1.40. The phone was perfect before the flash (which is why i was flashing!) after the flash, I had no data, and a phone that would disconnect as soon as i answered a call.

I reflashed radios, stock rom, nothing was helping.

I finally switched back to anoither phone using the verizon website. The old phone TP1 'worked' (data and all). I waited 15 mins and switched again to the TP2. This 'fixed' the phone portion - i could have a conversation instead of the call dropping as soon as i answered the phone. (This 'fixed' the phone portion - I found the idea in another post about how to get the verizon network to kick itself)

Data on the TP2 continued to have the PPP error and asked for the password.

i did *228 (option 1), *22899 a number of time over the time troubleshooting it - I also kept playing with 1.51 customizations :)

Finally i tried to check the PST (##778#) (i usually do this anyway to remove the dun.vzw3g data entry)

The data values for the phone number were STRANGE 0000008262@vzw3g.com This was NOT my phone number.

After changing the two values to have '0123456789@vzw3g.com' in both fields, a save and the required reset, i again was challenged for the password, This time 'vzw' worked and I finally have data.

I wonder where the 8262 number came from (i did see this once last night in the phones data password UI) - anyone know?

I used the red highlighted things with no issues. A lot of these packages were made for the older 2.1 packages so sometimes things won't line up perfect on a newer Manila version.

i think calk spoke about this before his 1.5t kitchen was released. serarch this thread for his posts. he said the version of sense 2.1 has larger slider iocns and icons in the middle of the screen when sliding. its not the options u r choosing, it just the version of sense 2.1. no fixes, because there is "nothing wrong".

i was askin the same when calk responded.

I'm running 21891 provided by cal. I could try cooking with 1.51.. or possibly just a temporary flash to 23529.
