My ringer, rings loud on the first one then is lower on the second ring. Anyone else have that problem?

Are you picking up your phone during/after the first ring? If so then the lower volume is a feature called "be polite".

That's default in the kitchen. It quiets once it senses you pick it up. You can change that in the 'sound and display' in settings. It's called 'quiet ring on pickup'.

I have had this happen with another rom recently not Calks that was 23518, after flashing the stock rom, doing a clear storage ounce and flashing my custom rom has not happened again since. I don't know what flashing a stock rom does but it seems to cure the strangest sh*t sometimes.

Weird, mine blew up overnight... 23518 Sprint build, pretty bare. It was frozen and I popped out the battery to reset, now it wont get past the HTC boot screen. Going to try again, reflashing and redownloading the ROM to be sure its got all the right parts.

EDIT:

Looks like this is sorta the random hard reset thing listed in the Stickies, but not really. More of a hard freeze and no boot. I actually went back to my Modded 1.33 build for now. Going to flash 1.4 again later. It just sat on charge overnight, yesterday it seemed fine with everything. I only have resco explorer and I-nigma as extras installed so far.

Got it. I didn't think you tested a 23518 with the old bt drivers.

I think the Verizon provisioning in this (1.4) kitchen has some problems. I think I saw someone report that some pages back. I received a country code error and I couldn't get data working at all even after a *228. I replaced the VZW provisioning files with the ones from the 1.33 kitchen and it worked as usual. Any other Verizon folks running into problems with 1.4?

Yeah I had the same problem and used the same fix and working great and I haven't had any random hard resets.

I'll give you a 'thanks' for that, since your post was probably the reason that I was able to fix my rom so quick. Thanks.

For all you guys having random freeze ups....are you all running 23518?? or is it happening with other SYS's?? I built a 21888 ROM the hour the kitchen came out and the only issue I had was a deep sleep for about 3 mins and then finally my device woke up. If its only 23518 for you guys it might just be a SYS problem.

Thats pretty odd. Try the 2.1.19xx Transparent slider and see how that works as far as being set right.

don't think its a SYS problem...I had the freeze ups and hard reset upon soft reset...a couple of versions ago. I had to flash to stock...then reflash to my cooked ROM. I've been good since.
