hey Cornelious

I used to flash all the time from my Storage Card with my TP. Weird, it's formatted, it's 8gb, but i get the same errors everyone else does. nbh is renamed, but it always says it can't find an image file. anyways, i've tried everything in the world, and have just accepted I can't flash with my card.

thanks for your help

One of the issues I ran into was that my card was not FAT32 formatted.

The other issue was that the .nbh file was not being named correctly, even though I would name it RHODIMG.nbh. Somehow when being transferred to my device via activesync explorer the file was being renamed to ~HODIMG.nbh or something like that (also once I remember finding that it was named RHODIMG.nbh.nbh). I had to keep toying with the file name and eventually I got it to see the file. I can't remember exactly what I did, but I know after toying with it repeatedly I finally got it to work.

ummm did you read the message. it's formatted, and i've done this 1000 times. thanks for both of those ideas, but they are already taken care of.

Ummm, I did read the message. You said it was formatted but did not say if it was FAT or FAT32, it could have been either. One issue I had was that a 1GB card(my 16GB/FAT32 card was giving me issues) I was using to flash from was FAT vs FAT32 so I had to reformat it to FAT32 to flash from my card to resolve the issue.

You're welcome, just trying to help because it also helps me to learn new things.

I would recommend a reformat for this issue,

another thing is make sure you are naming it 100% the same I believe caps matters.

RHODIMG.nbh

the biggest thing people forget about is the dumbness of how file explorer hides extensions so if you see RHODIMG.nbh it is actually named RHODIMG.nbh.nbh

Re: [HOW-TO] - - Flash a Rom or Radio on your TP2 from the SD card

definitely did another reformat, that wasn't the issue.

so you are saying if we renamed it RHODIMG.nbh, explorer recognizes the nbh extentsion and leave it on there.

so now we are only supposed to name it RHODIMG?

Re: [HOW-TO] - - Flash a Rom or Radio on your TP2 from the SD card

what are you using to do the formating?

it is supposed to be named RHODIMG.nbh though the phones file explorer hids the extension so the most common error was people thinking the nbh dissapeared and mistakenly doubling up.

also what brand /class /size of sd card are you using? Maybe theres a brand pattern for people having an issue.

Wirelessly posted (HTC Touch Pro 2: Opera/9.5 (Microsoft Windows; PPC; Opera Mobi/17992; U; en))

I just flashed to Sprint stock using a 1GB SanDisk Micro SD unknown class card.

Then after that...

I flashed to the latest MightyROM using a 16 GB SanDisk Micro SDHC Class 4 card.

It should be noted that:
1) the other day I was having issues with both of them (as described in my other post)
2) At some point or another I did end up reformatting both cards
3) My computer still does not like it when I place the 16 GB card (with the adapter) directly into my card reader. But the computer will read the same card when I connect my phone via USB (either with or w/o activesync).

Re: [HOW-TO] - - Flash a Rom or Radio on your TP2 from the SD card

ive stuck with sandisk and kingston and have never had issues with flashing, im thinking about getting a 16gb card, but im thinking its still a bit inconsistent with the builds currently.

@Jshaas2 I just thought about this, try flashing a rom from the computer if it works, then try flashing it from the card, maybe its your download that got corrupted.
