I just recently loaded Windows 7 as my OS last night, so I'm not sure if that may something to do with it?

Access denied on what? All you should have to do is copy the dll into System32 and reboot. The kitchen should work fine after that

when i extract the file to where you said i get a pop up saying access denied. not sure it it did copy the file or not but thats what comes up

Hmmm thats odd. Either the System32 folder is protected somewhere or it might be marked as read only. Try booting into safe mode and copying and see if that works. Shouldn't be having the problem you are
