Okay, it looks like I have found out why my connection keeps getting lost on my new SIM. Come to find out that Tracfone locks their SIM's to their own phone's IMEI. This explains why I can use the phone for about 5 minutes and then it unregisters itself from their network. I've heard that if you can get them to force your IMEI into their network, you would be gould to go but that is like pulling gorilla teeth:???:. Anyone got any suggestions for a good SIM in the US that is compatible with unlocked phones with decent rates?

t-mobile has the best rates, i bought a pre-paid phone with sim card from wal-mart for $14.88. no data though, but with wi-fi, you can get data without going thru cs to set it up.

actually since im using the tmobile sim card in the sprint tp2. i call the tmobile tech service and she walk me through the web activation. i got another question for u dr. if i master reset my phone. wil i lose the unlocker program? i want to use another custom rom. this 1 is acting up on the sim card. it showing grids ever 5 or 10 seconds. i hate to re-install everything again. it toke me 5 hours to get it rite. the post that u see from mjames was from me. i was at his house doing the unlocker on my phone. also could u recommend me a good build rom for sprint tp2. thanks i appreciate ur help alot.

im paying 80 for tmobile gsm sim card that include unlimit talk,text, and web. h20 which u could buy anywhere like walmart for 50 for unlimited talk, and texting.

no. the only way to lose the sim unlocker is by flashing another radio. if you have to take the phone in for repairs, there is a re-locker for flashing back to the stock radio.

what about if i wanted to install another rom?

if the rom has a different radio, flash the rom 1st then re-flash this unlocker. make sure to back up your info before flashing.

Just picked up a new SIM from WalMart installed in my Sprint TP2 and everything works like a charm. Quick note for anyone in the market for a new SIM, just make sure that the company doesn't lock the SIM to their phones only i.e. (Tracfone). Thanks for the insight Dr.8820. if u went got tmobile i wouldve show how to get the internet instore the sprint tp2 with the tmobile web connection. wifi is much faster wit the GSM than the tmobile network but it doesnt hurt to have the connection. i got the unlimit plan with the tmobile. first thing i did was cry like a little girl saying"my internet wasnt working" so i them to tell me to setup the connention. thru proxy and add connection. it work like a charm. 80 dollars monthly including unlimited text and web.
