That seems to be an issue in that rom Merdin. I believe someone mentioned it at some time, but it was lost. The test rom doesn't have that fault.

Hi, not sure what could be the issue your having, im not getting any issues with gps, and other users have also confirmed to me that their is no gps issues. What i can suggest is just try reflashing.

I think I know why others might not be having the issue that I am having. After flashing the ROM the first time, I went ahead and clicked on Verizon for the provisioning. After the phone reset, it came up and a small window popped up saying that the country code was not set and I could not make or recieve phone calls. I reset the phone thinking that would resolve the issue, but the same window came up after it booted back up. I reflashed the ROM thinking it was a bad flash, but the same thing happened after installing the Verizon Provisioning. I reflashed a third time and pushed skip on the provisioining and installed a verizon provisioning cab that I have. I did not get the window after that. Everything works on the phone except for the GPS. Is there something in the provisioning cab that I am missing by not installing it? Is there a way to get past the "country code" window. I love the ROM, but need the GPS to work. Thanks.

In looking through previous posts, it appears that the majority of people are on Sprint. I did see another Verizon user that also reported the "country code" issue after installing the verizon wireless provisioning. My question now is there anyone using this ROM on Verizon that is able to use the GPS?

GPS issue is not due to provisioning from what I could see. Provision provided for Verizon does seem to have that country code pop up every soft-reset. I'm sure Merd will fix issues in an instant once he gets brand new refurb'd! =p

It is interesting because I have not had the GPS issue with any other ROM. It is too bad because this ROM has been my favorite, but I need the GPS functionality. I guess I will just need to wait until a new ROM is released. Thanks.

Hey merdin I been using your new rom but an older version of the 2.5, do you have the fix for the period if people chose to stay with that version?

Where the signal icon is there is a white box with a x in it. I had this issue on another rom after i installed a task manger program so im assuming it has it cooked in the rom. Is there a fix for this? Im using the 1.5b rom

I had the gps problem and went to the previous version for a day. Tried again yesterday to flash the test rom and had the same gps issue before I installed any of my normal programs. Not sure what the problem is. Tried flashing back to stock and then flashing a fresh download of the test rom to make sure it wasn't a bad flash or download and still the same thing happened. Glad to see I'm not the only one that noticed that issue though. I am back to the previous version.

The only issues I am having, with the 6.5.3 ROM with Sense 2.5, is that
a) My period key does not work at all on my hardware keyboard (Lol, VERY annoying when doing anything on the keyboard which requires typing, cuz you use periods in everything).

b) My backgrounds get all messed up and mucked up, especially in regards to weather. Its like a distortion or static pixelation image with the video drivers...corruption, maybe.

I am anxiously and patiently awaiting the next rom... cuz I love this one so much, i am willing to stand and wait.... I might just reflash this one and see if that helps...
