FYI you're meant to have all your data still intact. This is not a ROM you're flashing that will hard reset / wipe your device. It's the unlocker so that you will be able to flash a custom ROM as a separate process afterwards.
I was trying to do the voldown+power+reset combo before and it was just soft resetting... I tried it with more "passion" now and it went to the tricolor screen. Way to embarrass myself ](*,)](*,)](*,)

But anyway, it was definitely weird to see the flashing process that could take 10mins to take less than 5 seconds.

Maybe the answer is because it's 10:00 am and I still haven't gone to bed yet. I can't extract the .exe from the zip. When I try it creates a new folder, but there is no file in it. I tried WinZip, WinRAR and 7Zip, all had the same results. I'm running Windows 7 and made sure all files are visible in File Explorer. I downloaded the zip file several times to no avail. Am I going crazy or do I just need sleep?

as in it will FREEZE. you cant do anything and the phone doesnt go blank. black or anything. just shows the clock, orange power light on. after you get the error and unplug the phone, its still frozen... orange charging light stays on even after you unplug it, you have to soft reset and the phone works fine. just cant unlock it

Okay I just got my win mobile a few days ago. So I am a total noob. Now i want to change the ugly look of sprint rom to probably a 6.5 theme. What do i need to do? Do i still need this Hard SPL? Before changing the rom how can i back up the current official sprint rom so that incase something happens to the device i can restore the original rom and send it back to htc or sprint? Please as i said i m a noob so a little more detail would be appreciated.
