Re: NOW OPEN [Update 11-7-09] Rhodium_W Radio ROM Thread

I have a vzw tp2, hardspl'ed, sim/sec/cid unlocked, flashed to latest mighty rom.

it says I'm running 2.05WV, and as I understand it, "wv" means locked per the first post in this thread...

"1) If you are sprint, any radio but the sprint stock radio should be sim unlocked for us GSM, but I'm not 100% as I'm not sprint."

nah, if you mean verizon/telus/etc released stock radios... they still have the same US network checking code for sprint phones so they will not work. you must use a patched radio.

As stated now many times in this thread, which radio works best for you will vary depending upon your physical location. You will need to do some testing yourself to figure out what's best for you.

I'm guessing there aren't many CDMA radios yet due to the fact that HSPL just got finished...so CDMA/Worldphone development seems to be a couple months behind GSM. I'm a total noob as this is my first WinMo/HTC device so that's just an uneducated guess. :geek:

What do you mean by satellite?

GSM service isn't based on satellite... GSM is another technology like CDMA. Only cell towers.
