Anyone know if there will be a new 6.5.1 build soon? I'm having major issues with transfering files onto my storage card on 23504. Thinking about cooking my own 23506 and seeing if it's any better.

Strange... I guess NRG took Opera 9.5 and 9.7 out of 21869. There is only Opera 10beta and IE on it. And stupid IE is set as the default browser. Also all the shortcuts in the web browser tab (in Manila) are gone.

Anyone know how to make Opera 10beta the default browser? I don't like IE that much.

The overlay issue with the messaging tab in Manila when there is an unread message is still present.

This build also doesn't come with the JMZ provisioning thing.

It took me awhile to find and I figured I would post this incase others may need this.

For people who want to remove the shortcuts on the Internet Push Page on EnergyRom Photon Rom.

1. navigate with active sync or however and go to \Windows\27c65cbd_manila
2. save it to your desktop and do not close the previous window.
3. open the 27c65cbd_manila using wordpad (attached file 27c65cbd_manila_original.txt)
4. delete whatever you don't need. (attached file 27c65cbd_manila_modified.txt)
(compare the 2 and you know what to delete.)
5. save the file as unicode and 27c65cbd_manila.txt
6. remove the .txt from the file you saved
7. drag it back into the \windows of your TP2 and overwrite the original.
8. soft reset

Anyone notice with the latest 6.5.1 rom the phone doesn't actually ring? I guess I just received my first incoming calls today since updating. After the last call, a CityID thing popped up asking if I wanted to subscribe to it. I know I didn't install that app.

That's awesome, can't believe you found that. I still can't figure out how to make Opera 10 the default browser on 21869 standard, but using your tweak I was able to add Opera 10 to the list.

Does anyone know how in build 21869 Standard to make Opera 10 the default browser, and the one that launches when you click on the big internet icon when you're in Manila 2.1???

Does anyone else get that annoying "Cannot connect with current connection settings. To change your connection settings, tap Settings." message when IE loads up?

It took me awhile. I opened up soo many xml files and manila files, google and the search bar did not work for this particular fix.

Well I am glad you took the time! (Don't worry you've already thanked!)
Now if someone tell me how to make Opera 10 launch when I click on the big globe in the internet tab in manila. (Yes with 21869 standard the globe returns!) Plus IE is having issues and won't automatically connect.
UPDATE: if you just reinstall Opera 10 from a cab file it automatically makes it the default browser. IE seems to work fine now.


I wonder why NRG decided to do away with Opera 9.5 and Opera 9.7? IMO Opera 10 is pretty good but is still kind of buggy. I guess I'll have to go looking for an Opera 9.5 cab. Anyone know what build of Opera 9.5 the previous 23864 standard used?

I was wondering that too... although I don't remember Pre Nov. 9 releases requiring it.
But I gave Mr. X's Sprint provisioning cab a shot, it got Sprint TV working for me! (here is the thread: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=96207)
