Anyone figure out how to get rid of that big black box on the home screen (the one that is behind the flip clock and the weather)?

I have only been able to find fixes that get rid of the flip clock tabs.

It wasn't on previous builds of Photon (both 21864 and 23xxx Nov 3 and earlier). FYI I am using 21864 Nov 9, but the box was also there in 23504 Nov 9.

No, it works fineeeee. Make sure you don't have any special characters (% * ^ @ #) in the folder path of where the RUU is stored.

Like we said.....battery life will be bad after flashing ANY ROM, since your battery calibrations are lost after every flash. Either discharge/charge your phone completely, or use it for 3 days. Only after one of those will you see more stable battery life.

And you didn't attach an image, so we can't see what you're talking about. No issues here, either.

he is talking about the added background behind the clock... its a black rectangle behind the transparent clock, it was not there before this build.. he did mention a "newer or better clock"

I dont know which i prefer.. i think i liked the old style.. ill give it a few days..

Download the Photon, 21864 version, THIS ONE. Most stable EnergyROM out there.

I just want to get rid of the big black box BEHIND the clock+weather. Does anyone have any idea? The Nov. 3 build did not have this big black box.

the task manager on the Nov 3rd 23081 build that is removed on the new Nov 9th build, Was that a custom version of Showcase, I installed Showcase R1 and it don't have the top menu? any ideas

anyone wanting the quick menu I finally figured out a way ot bring it out easier. If you can get it open hit quick menu-option-view. click on show Q on task bar and set it to 219. On normal more 219 puts it next to EV and on landscape puts it further from the left side so easier for it to come out. a little helpful hint makes it so much easier to use without that annoying bar coming up under it and its so awesome!

Anyone having issues with WMP updating their music database? For me it finds all the songs, then hangs at "Adding files . . ." I've let to go for about 1 hour, but it does not progess beyond this. I only have 200-300 songs on the SD card.

I did not have this issue with the same files on the stock ROM. Not sure how a ROM could affect this . . .

Ideas?
