Coming late to this post. Here are some of the things I have had to do, sorry if I am repeating anyone.

1. You already reinstalled but make sure you delete all sync profiles off your your PC. ( when you reinstall it may reload your old profiles)

2. Plug it in and walk away. I have messed with trying to sync for hours it seems, only to get frustrated and walk away and come back in a 1/2 hour and find it synced.

3. Upgraded firewall and virus protection. Spy-ware, virus, and 3rd party firewalls are famous for interfering with active-sync after an upgrade. Try shutting them down and then syncing.

Hope one of these helps.

great stuff... back to MR again... (literally 4 months since i first reported this issue...) I dont feel like digging up that bar replacement fix I had when i first tried Energy
i spent about 4 hours looking for fix and i all i needed to do was put in a sim card to make the activesync shit go away lol thanks

NRG cooks four different ROMs without CHT. Take a look at post #3.

Not sure if anyone has said this already.............. but, mine won't make a connection when the "Enable faster data synchronization" check box is checked in the "USB to PC" settings (activesync area on the phone).

I have to uncheck mine everytime, every ROM, always, or it wont do it.

Hope this helps

Try another USB cable and if available, try a different computer. Of all the syncing problems I have ever had, none were due to the phone. Most were cable related.

+1 Good point. Been a while since I was on XP and forgot about that one. Bet it does the trick!

Just wanted to send a quick note to NRG... Thanks man. I really appreciate the effort and think you've done a great job with everything.

I'm moving on to new hardware now.. Samsung Epic 4G. Hope you'll have some custom roms out for that platform in the future.

For what it's worth, some things are a lot better on the TP2 vs the Epic. (Battery life on Epic is horrid vs my TP2 at about 1.5 days with a lot of use, I now get 5-6 hrs on the Epic). Maybe just the stock rom I'm running, and a handful of scheduled apps.. but no major tweaking just yet to maximize battery on that device.

Anyhow, Thanks NRG, and Thanks a lot to all the forum members here too.
