Are you on a shared connection like a dorm or an apartment were its free internet? I had that problem all the time when my apartment gave free internet. Someone was always using hotfile and rapidshare and I could never use the free services.

Hello, thank you for your reply.
No, I have a wireless service called Cybercom, it services the rural areas, we have an antenna on our roof, with a radio at the base of the antenna that sends the signal inside, connected to a d-link router. It is not shared, actually, right now, my computer is connected with a cable to the router, nobody is using the wireless.
I think there's a problem because of Opera.

Search for a program called "hotfile auto downloader". It might on the paperclip. Install and paste download link into. I an on the same kind of rural connection and this solved my problem. Hope it helps.

if it is a rural area, there cud a possibility f using same ip for certain no of users.. u can trace route n get ur ip n also chk the ip's of near by people...
neways other thing is tat, opera compresses the data n sends it, tat cud b another issue,..
abt spyware n trojans, sumtimes they dun get removed easily with anitvirus...

1)u can try usin IE or chrome.
2) chk for IP conflict issue with ur provider(ISP) ie if they provide same ip for certain no of ppl ( such as shared connectivity thru ISP itself, cuz there r many ISP which do this for their profit, as i m a network engineer i know this n they dun disclose this to user)
3) u can tell some to upload tat ROM as a torrent file/or somewhr else on net, so that u can download it from certain IP or where ever uploaded.
(How to create a torrent? | TorrentFreak -if sum1 is ready to make torrent for u, here is how he add's the file)

Flashed 9/26 21679 CHTver 2.0 and liking it so far. Things seemed a little slow at first but are beginning to settle in. Had the USUAL rapid battery drop from first day flash but that should improve by tomorrow.

I really like CHT 2 so far and there is not much of a learning curve between this and the previous version. As I posted a page back, cookie et al have a great faq/tutorial available at xda.

I opted to go with NRG's standard page pool and switched to Q-Menu after I got everything all setup.

Looks like another winner and I can't wait for a more final version of CHT2.

Hats off to NRG for putting out a CHT 2 ROM so fast!!!

I'm going to play around with it a bit and learn my way around.

but we do need to help someone, if he is unable to download n taste, wat our great chef has cooked..


i loved 24th sept rom,as its fast, stable, n battery life is AWESOME..
but now its tempting me to flash new1 cuz of CHT2.0 ( confused - or shud i wait for next updated ROM.. )

Dave is correct when he says not to make a torrent or any other upload link for the roms, all the Chefs that i have seen always like to have one or two places <that they control> to download the roms and that way they can control the roms and keep a count of how many times it was downloaded, yeah it sucks for someone that can't download it for some reason but you have to figure out another way, try another browser also.

On the new CHT 2.0 version 2 rom, does anyone have the problem where the clock on the lock screen is getting cut off? Does anyone know how to fix that?

Aside from that the rom is running very smoothly, I like widgets. I turned off arcswitch (kind of useless since im using the qmenu) to save some ram. Overclocked to 787 mhz.

Has anyone been able to successfully use throttle lock with any of the latest ROMs (using Sept 08 w/ CHT)? I tried installing the latest throttle unlock and it broke everything. (Sense won't launch at all.)

Any help appreciated!

edit: I didn't disable cookie's lockscreen. this occurs to me as a problem. I have to reflash the rom though.
