How is the native HTC messaging clients speed? Does it work quickly now or still laggy? i.e. when loading up thread.

I switched to the phoenix version because I was tired of dealing with all the SMS issues. I'm curious about switching back.

the 4 new icons that are below the call history in my opinion are useless unless I took those tabs off the today screen..and the call history button as well. Other than that I had/have no problems with anything else. No freezing, no anything. Love the new apps that were put in and the extra program spaces we got on the today screen.

You can remove those by toggling the notification settings in MaxManilla.

Alert - here you can select whether to display the shortcuts or notification icons on screen. Also note that on v2.8, the notification icons will only display in fullscreen landscape mode only with the exception in normal mode, when your tab icon is retracted.

• NS - both shortcuts and notification icons will display
• S - only shortcuts will display
• N - only notification icons will display
• OFF - both will not display

How is the Phoenix version? Do you like/hate it?

Phoenix is so much faster and less buggy. Also have 60MB+ of free memory. I'm not really into the sense 2.5 interface. 2.1 looks more organized and less cluttered to me. I hope the next Phoenix update comes out soon!

Do you guys run into memory problems? I want to come back to this ROM but I remember there wasn't a lot of memory and I couldn't run a few programs together without things closing like having opera open and replying to a txt.
