I'm having two issues with this incredible ROM...

1) GPS doesn't seem to work at all

2) Has anybody released a CAB that changes the old Microsoft volume control to the HTC volume control?

ACTIVESYNC PROBLEMS. 23081 nov 3 wont sync and yes i did change the fast connect setting. anyone no of a fix??????????

I also did a search too with no answers.

what does the phone do when you plug it in to USB? does it lock up or does the PC even show the phone in device manager when you plug it in? Are you using Active Sync or WMDC?

In fact with that said the WM6.5 SMS/MMS Client MMS Composer Version 5.2.7.34 sends and receive MMS messages fine after you configure it correctly without disabling anything.


Here is the easiest way I have found to send MMS Messages on my Verizon Touch Pro 2 without Disabling or installing another program.(You should be able to modify the reg file for other carriers)

1. Open tmail.exe
2. Select SMS/MMS
3. Pick Menu and MMS Options.
3. Open the CMDA Server Options SampleMMSC2 and set the right connect via to use. For me it is "My ISP" Click OK.
4. Since I am on Verizon, I will set the CDMA SampleMMSC as the Default.
5. Open the GSM Server Options SampleMMSC and set the right connect via to use. For me it is "My ISP" Click OK.
7. Download the attached mms.zip file. It contains the Verizon Arcsoft MMS Composer settings.
8. Edit the Reg file and change the following entry to have your Phone number with the leading one:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\mm1\WspHeader2]
"X-VzW-MDN"="15555555555"
9. Import the Reg file into the registry

You now have the ability to send MMS Messages on your Phone without disabling anything. You will just use Windows SMS/MMS Client to Send/Receive and View MMS Messages. You can still do SMS Messages in the Manilla portion. The message will still appear in the Manilla 2.5
Messaging portion as a blank message and then you would go into the Windows SMS/MMS Client to view it.

If you setup an EMail account on your phone, it will be the quickest way to navigate into the SMS/MMS portion of the Windows SMS/MMS Client. When you want to send SMS text messages, use the manilla messaging. When you want to send MMS Messages use the Windows Client.
The MMS message will still appear in the Manilla Messaging, it just shows up as a blank message. You then proceed to the SMS/MMS client and are able to view it. I hope this helps some people out.

you need to swap steps 8 and 9.....

importing the reg setting resets the mdn

so you need to import reg. to set the profiles.xml address as step 8 then modify the mdn to your personal number in step 9.

other then that, great writeup. been working on this myself.

WMDC and it shows connected in wmdc. it show that it is syncing in wmdc but i get nothing., most likely goiing back to factory rom until this stuff gets stable then i will donate. i am so frustrated in this i could twist this phone in half,

I'm just about to hard reset and try this, but I noticed that his settings are correct the way he has them. Step 8 is to edit the reg file, not the actual registry. Then step 9 is to import the edited reg file. So he's ok. I think you just read it as edit the registry with that change and not the actual file like he meant.
