I think I see your sentiment here...and you're not the only tech that is aware of ppcgeeks and xda-developers existence and that we void our htc contract due to unlocking our device. HTC will not repair your device if they realize you have unlocked your device via hspl. There was a big issue about this with the touch hd over at xda - if your device stopped working and hspl was used, they would charge you for the parts that needed repairing - despite it being under their contract.
HTC doesn't want individuals to flash their devices because it voids warranty. And yes there are a variety of users that know that if there is a flash and something goes awry with hardware, just flash stock and relock. It honestly takes no more than about 10 minutes...I can't believe you guys are calling him a **** for doing his job...I'm not going to get way into this issue because this is juicy rom thread and a new thread should be opened if anyone wishes to discuss this further...but ideally we are doing the same thing that itards do and that voids their contracts as well..
