Re: +++ [ROM] [02/14/10] JUICY ROM (21892.5.0.89) [Sense UI] [XDA UC]

This ROM apparently has a GSM dialer - so # codes don't work for us CDMA users. I tested MightyRom and saw that it had support for # codes in the dialer - if I selected Sprint during carrier provisioning.

Any reason Juicy ROM can't include that in the Sprint cab?

Also, does anyone know where I can get a dialer cab that supports # codes?

A quick fix for CDMA users that want to access ## codes - you can create shortcuts to EPST.exe (in the \Windows dir) and use that to get where you want to be. Anyway, looks to me like there's a way to enable this sort of access directly from the dialpad by using registry keys. I haven't quite figured it out yet, but if I do I'll post the fix.

I use this cab. It works for me.

Couple things:

* Where did the WiFi Router go? It's grayed out in Comm Manager, and there is no shortcut. Can I download this as a separate cab?

* Peep icon is missing. Not a big deal for me though.

* I also find that data settings go missing after soft reset. All I have to go though is find the Sprint connection and check "This network connects to the Internet". Then it connects just fine.

All else seems OK right now.

Wifi router is gone from the phone.

I had to redownload a new cab for it to "un-grey"

This worked for me to get WiFi Sharing back into the system:

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/attachment...9&d=1250456775

I tried a few different cabs and landed with that one. Note that it might delete your HTTP proxy setting if you have one defined - it did on my phone. So I had to put it back in. That cab might have been designed to connect to Sprint data in stealth mode, not sure, and I don't use Sprint - Cricket is way cheaper ;-) But it works to re-enabled WiFi Sharing anyway.

Why that was removed, I can't imagine. Also WModem is missing, and DHRouter is missing.

Been running Juicy 9 for about 24 hours. It has locked up completely at least 5 times. I have to remove the battery to get the phone to boot again.

One problem area is the People page. Adding contacts brings the phone to a crawl and sometimes it'll locked up. Another time it was during a weather update.

Nice ROM though. I hope you can get the bugs ironed out - and include some stuff that a lot of us want to use (like CDMA # code ability, WiFi Sharing, Sprint MMS registry keys in the Juicy Sprint cab, and In-call recording)

BTW: If any of you are using Cricket, try the 1013 PRL file. On my phone it lets me get 3G data connections and I'm not paying anything extra for it since I get data connectivity with my plan.
