I think they were referring to the peep shortcut graphical icon. There is a shortcut to peep when you list all programs, but the icon is just a plan white box. Thanks for all your hard work Juicy!

Juicy I Just flashed my first phone around a month ago your R8 was my first experience and it was sure nice. I think the biggest issue with this rom (R9) is the htc messaging app is freezing up/causing the lock screen issues.

for the record youtube audio works (i have my device set to separate ring and sys volume dont know if that will affect it)

then other nit pick issues
- can't use wifi on mobile when connected through active sync pretty sure this worked on energy roms i flashed

- keyboard mapping
my kb is
FN+H= \ FN+J= /
FN+B= ; FN+N= :

With your rom flashed it comes out like this
FN+H= ; FN+J= :
FN+B= \ FN+N= /

Some roms I flashed have this issue some don't makes me wonder if diff carriers use diff kb layouts and thus the kitchen used with verizon or uscc drivers etc leads to the discrepancies.

all in all great work I love your rom as it uses the least ram I've seen it's so great to dump all the bloat.

OH last thing organizing the start menu with default folders like in MightyROM's war rlses would be great (nit pick tho)

I'm not sure if this has to do with the peep shortcut thing, and this could have been fixed in R9v2 which I haven't tried yet, but when you click on all messages from messaging tab, it lists the people you have texts with and on the left side it has a blank white box that says "IMAGE". Same thing when you click on a name and get the threaded messages from someone. In the upper right corner it's the blank white box again that says "IMAGE".


The Peep shortcut is there for me on R9v1. Is that missing for R9v2 only?


Also, I seem to recall with R8 when you had an appointment that day, it would show up on the main page where it says calender. That's not happening for me on R9v1.

Thanks Juicy! Side note - I thought hey, with the issues for R9, maybe this would be a good time to try another rom while I wait for R10.. Problem was, I couldn't find one that I liked as much as yours, so I'm sticking with the bugs until R10 lol!

Hey Juicy for the "Sleep Of Death" issues in your ROM if you hadn't already you will need to re-download the 21892 SYS from the .dio because the rollup that most of us was using has issues .... if need be I can share mine with you

How about in-call recording?

I have to agree with DGMayor - this is the nicest looking ROM that I've come across. Tried several, all are lacking in big ways. Only thing I wish this ROM had was a Cricket provisioning cab that handled at least the MMS config aspects ;-) Because that's tougher to do than other stuff like adding Wifi Router, In-call recording, etc.

Problem with Audio Manager and doubled mp3s

Can someone tell me what their R8 default reg settings are for:

HKLM\Software\HTC\Audiomanager_eng\config\device_s can_path_path
<same path>\device_scan_path_path_0
<same path>\device_scan_path_type_0

I think awhile ago I was messing with trying to get audio manager to only search a single folder on my card and ever since then all my mp3s double up in the music tab. I just remembered that I even made this change - its been bugging me. Annoying to have to advance a track after every new track finishes...

-used the better Flash.dio 21892 source from Alex~~ (thx JD for the tip).... fixes freezes
-fixed keyboard mapping too

Hey Juicy – Agree with others – this is a great looking ROM with preferable layout & app combo. Thanks for the great work!

Here`s the ìssues I have experienced (TP2 on Telus) so far:
- notice that the signal strength bars seem off - strongest signal only shows as 2 bars (worked fine in other ROMs - with phone in same location, got all bars)
- keyboard mapping reversal/muckup on select keys (forward/backward slashes, colon, semicolon)
- sleep of death (about once a day)
- data connection not surviving soft reset
- 2 task managers in “All Settings” (nit-pik)


Unrelated observations;
- The “Add Location” city list seems very limited (no cities from my Province in Canada are listed) – where does this list come from?

- Is anyone else annoyed with the lack of zooming with RDP client? This was a big selling point (and thus disappointment) for WinMo phone.

- Wish the music player handled FLAC files (is there a way to add a codec for this)?
