I tried it multiple times, still no luck getting my data to work.

Also, each time I go back to the 'provision' screen, the default setting seems to be 'Telus'. I have to select Sprint each time. Is this normal?

you only have to do it ONE time, and it always defaults back to telus, Ziggy wrote it fast and functional, not pretty (as in it would detect what carrier had been initialized after the first run and cause the screen to display it when opened a 2nd time, dont take this as a dig, but its what it is, it works), additionally its best performed RIGHT after a hard-reset

now if you try a hard-reset again, then first thing do provision, and it still doesnt work, then we need more info, you say "doesnt work", but do you mean it gives an error? it just says it cannot connect? what specifically is it doing when you try to use a data application?

I am assuming this is a freshly flashed phone (first time).....if so it probably will not work....so you are correct....you are going to need to update your profile....I am not on MM right now and do not remember if he has the update profile and prl in....so here it is....

HEY PURIAN ANY PROGRESS on SLAP a HOE RED THEME or SIMILiAR i mean i LOOVVEE RED and i SEE no FULL theme FOR IT like SAMMICH did a awesome job but it lacks a skinned talk button and green just doesnt work for me

Thanks for your assistance so far.

I was getting an error, I believe it was a 67 error for a while, now that doesn't pop up. The message stated that my 'username' and 'password' were incorrect.

No webpages, or any apps that need web access work, stating that there is no network connection available.

I've tried 2 different profile update .cabs. One runs through but still no internet connection, the other gives an error message stating that the profile update could not be completed.

First off, I didn't write the standard MM provisioning, JMZ did, I wrote the auto provisioning app. The standard provisioning app does have the code in it to allow it to recall the last selected carrier, he just never implemented that part. There really was no need, since you only need to run it once. If you really want to see if it's installed, just look at installed programs, since all it does is install a cab file.

As for the auto provisioning, if your phone doesn't display the correct Carrier name in the upper left hand corner, then it WILL NOT auto provision, since that value comes from the same place I read to determine the carrier. This is a problem with something being screwed up with the PRL and PRI, so the radio is not reporting the carrier to WinMo correctly. I know this might sound a bit crazy but go out for a ride a few miles from your current location and try to manually provision again. My thought here is that maybe by changing cell towers you will be a bit more successful.

I'm on sprint too and only had the problem once and it eventually corrected itself. Other than that, all flashes since then (knocks on wood) have been great.

Anecdotally I noticed this when I reflashed to the new version.


Clean flash with Task 29, flashed to MM 6/20, then hard reset. Started by syncing to google and was surprised at the lightening speed. Then I did installed all of my programs and soft-reset. Phone was crawling. Hard reset and no change.

Did another flash task 29, MM 6/20, and a hard reset. Installed programs one by one with a soft reset each time. I noticed only a minimal speed hit or none maybe after installing many more programs.

Anyone else seen anything similar?

Thanks for the advice, and all of the work that has gone into this.

I finally gave up after trying for 5+ hours of making the data work, and went to bed at 4 am. When I turned the phone on this morning, the data just plain worked!

Hopefully this is the end of any troubles I had with it, because I need the data to sync my Google contacts, and w/out it, the phone was going to be flashed back to the stock Sprint ROM.

I'm looking forward to playing with this phone and enjoying all of the efforts made by the community here.

I am sorry if this has been asked, I have read through many pages and did not find it, I am new to this, but try to search as much as I can before asking a Q anyway I just flashed the newest mightyrom 6-10, fixed the data connection (sprint) I can browse the net but when I try to set up MyPhone it says unable to connect to service. Advise would be very much appreciated.
