are you using a different theme that you downloaded and installed? if so, that's probably the issue. I'm using the regular HTC theme and don't have that problem

Correct.. its a little higher, but as its been said Mike has done very well tweaking it and it a work in progress, and on my end much better than previous.. which was also good!!. .. Anyone .. Anyone .. testing SE would know it right away.. If not .. Just :) and be happy you are testing the next MightyROM Official Release!

I am very happy believe me. I just thought that since SE was what I thought to be the next release, that the first wave of non VIP beta testers would be testing that same SE version.

I did not realize that there were two ROM's in question here.

I actually just checked right after a Clear Storage, and it still doing the same thing. Thanks for the suggestion anyways.

Boy, I am surprised there are so many people still on here with the Detroit/Phoenix game starting....Mighty is more popular than the RedWings....Wow!!

hahaha, i misslook also, the provision is on automatic detection i guess, it automatically detect what my carrier and automatically installed it. so far, i haven't encounter the 2 box shortcut things. no bugs,glitches yet, still testing the batt life and memory leak(if).

and WTH!, after installing ziggy CFC manila compressed cab, ziggy MM start menu,ziggy MM update, B4all 2.5, audiopara 3,omj stop clock fix,weather animation fix.did some sms text, play music using BT with moto S9, facebook and youtube, my GWES is only 15930kb, unlike on version MM 032310, am having atleast 22kb-23kb.

After doing a SR after installing cabs and logging in to a lot of accounts, my GWES never went back up that high, stayed at around 25 max, right now its at 20 and I did a lot of usage last night, so I think it might need to settle in initially.

Ok, here's my take on the today test ROM.

1). Flashed back to stock 1.18 Verizon ROM
2). Cleared Memory
3). Flashed to Beta
4). Cleared Memory

Still get the weird folder on the home screen and no auto provision...

Wow...only yesterday when I had a soft reset did I linger around the 25 range. Been keepin an eye on it and I maintain an area around 30-35. That's still pretty good.

My experience with the beta thus far:

-Task 29, Installed beta, cleared storage (Auto provision worked just fine)

Installs & Changes:
- imnuts MMS for Sprint
- super cab from page 1
- re-arrange Start menu cab from page 1
- changed signal bars back to 5 via regedit
- device lock left soft key cab from page 1
- you & purian's 2.5 B&W slider
- santod's no curtains
- santod's no clock background
- santod's no calendar date background
- removed tabs I don't use
- changed home and lock screen backgrounds
- got rid of weather animations

Everything seems to be running great so far, as is the usual. I've played some music, surfed with opera, looked through pictures, sent some messages, etc.

I will say however, in reference to your post on memory management that my gwes.exe hovers around 30,750kb no matter what I'm doing. At boot up its around 17ish once everything finishes loading and I've seen it as high as 33,287kb. Nothing seems to be preforming poorly as a result but I figured I would go ahead and mention what I was seeing.

All in all, its running really well. =D>

only 2 ppl that reported that has been VZW users - maybe it's an issue with the VZW phones?

from what i have read, once you fet provisioned, the folders on the HS go away.

from what i have read, once you fet provisioned, the folders on the HS go away.

I can manually do it too, but my concern is if its acting up with that, is theres something else buried thats not working. Especially if others say its working for them.

After initial load, did you have to *228 to program your phone? I did, and had the folder on the home screen. After the phone was programmed, I cleard storage again, and the auto-provision worked and the folder was gone from the home page.

So try to clear storage after the phone is programmed and see if it helps.

I tried that as well and no joy, but i redownloaded the EXE and compaired byte counts and both were identicle, but decired to redownload and flash again and now it fine. Go figure!

Dunno, but its fixed now apparently. I redownloaded the beta flash and tried again and its ok now.

all in all i think maybe i should do a poll to see how many people consider these things "stock" since MM trys to keep his roms "stock"

With the previous version of the ROM, i was able to have vibrate set when headphones weren't plugged in and sound enabled when headphones were plugged in. Is that feature missing in this new rom? does anyone know how to get this feature working again?

update info:

just found out, after installing lockdevice 1.6 my GWES boost up from 15kb before to 24kb after installation and reset. then tried to uninstall it, my GWES came back to 15+kb. i guess it's eating a lot, hehehe. btw, i install the dust 6.5 lock but did not remove it, so i guess, the lock screen is eating up GWES.

is atom enhance 3D drive is good to install with this ROM?

If you are still at 24 while using though that is still not bad. I can sacrifice that much mem to keep using LD. I see your point though.

i dont know why it boost up the GWES, but in the task manager the Lock Device only eat up @ 1kb. did test this twice and got the same result, also test while opened some apps(cal,contact,excel,onenote,task,file explo,windows media,htc music) and games(bubble breaker, solitaire, monopoly and pocket uno 1.62(not the version 2) GWES range up to 17368kb only, hehehe.

GWES went as high as 42113 when running a few programs (skype, palringo, slacker radio and browsing w/ opera), but now it's currently at 27447! So far this ROM is going great!

Keep in mind that lock device monitors your phone constantly. When your phone goes into standby lockdevice initiates. Therefore it is a user interface that always runs.


On a different note, gonna try Swype now to see if it eats up the mem.
