It happened again today while I was driving. Very annoying. :angry7:

Think I found the cause...make sure the notification on the notification screen at the top has been cleared after dismissing the alarm. Not sure but it worked at least this morning.

not sure if you have any concerns against "cloud" backups.. but microsoft "My Phone" has been working for me for many months.. I simply backup all text, contacts, notes, tasks, my documents, etc... then login and sync after rom update. with this service, I've never experienced any issues with text message backups. it even got up to about 900 txt messages at one point.. and everything was working just fine.. even the threaded history.

the only thing I don't backup via this service is calendar, only because I use google sync for that and email.

my process is:
rom update
clear storage
carrier provisioning
microsoft My Phone sync
sashimi auto install
setup active sync for google sync
done

never caused any pim issues

I want to thank toddpeterson and imnuts again for the suggestion. I cleared my storage last night and only restored my contacts from the backup. Imnuts, unfortunately this did not solve my message threading issue but even though this did not change the order of the treated messages (which i now think is just the way sense messaging is) my phone is running a 100 times faster and smoother. This now is actually what i expected after upgrading to MightyRom. This also has solved my previous issue with the lock screen. Now when i sleep my phone with the botton on the top it is not in lock when i power back on. My musci player is also working which it did not before. It took me while to redownload all my apps but i am glad i did it because like i said...she is running smooth.

I just saw this about a text message fix. Not sure if it applies to your issue or not, but it might be worth a look.

SMSTimestampFixer aims to fix the problem that occur when you use threaded messaging mode, that is sometimes the sms’s appearing in the wrong order.

Now make sure you do a full SPB Backup to at least get you back to this point if you install something that messes you up.

Enjoy the awesome MightROM!

Ok it worked, the txt messages are in the right order now (back and forth) but it time stamps the incoming message with a time an hour later than it actually is...not that it matters but fyi

Everytime I turn the alarm off, all notifications have been cleared already. I still keep having the alarm go off.
