Newbie (to MR on TP2) question:
1) If I don't want to use Sense (or Manila or Titanium), is MightyRom still a good ROM to use?
2) Is there any way to get a WM6.1-style Start Menu (or similar) on this ROM (or any WM6.5 ROM)?

I just happen to like the way that traditional WM (5, 6, 6.1) is setup, with the Today screen and a quickie dropdown Start Menu... suggestions (other than just to run WM6.1)?

BTW, I am a happy user of MightyRom 4 on the Diamond...

Always flash back to stock. Offer to flash it for the buyer, but default is flash to stock first.

Those look really Nice, I am using Dark ninja's from XDA right now, it works great and I am honestly scared to change because everything does work. seems like there has been a lot of taskbar issues lately and don't want to risk it but they do look really good.

I agree they look great..

What i REALLY like though, is the layout of that website... I wish that MightyROM had the same sort of "organized" layout for the Mod's/etc that are written for it.

Maybe I'm just a visual dork, but, I prefer these clean screenshots, obvious download buttons, very clear "version compatibility"...

... very impressed with the overall layout..

I'm having a couple of problems (MightyROM Full Force):

1. When I use the stock Task Manager (TaskManagerApp), it freezes the device most of the time (not all the time, though). Anyone else? Any idea why?

And the reason I'm having to use Task Manager so regularly and so became aware of (1) is:

2. The "X" button in the bottom right of app screens is not closing applications. Yes, I've set it to do so in the aforementioned Task Manager (End Programs by tapping "X"), but the in Full Force doesn't seem to behave according to that preference. Is there somewhere else for me to set the "X" button in FF to close apps?

Thanks a lot...

Nope that's not a FF issue, that's just the way 6.5.x works. Hitting the X doesn't really close things.

This app makes the X button close apps that use the X button.

Er, I've used WinMob for years and when I've set X to close the app in Task Manager, it's always worked pretty reliably IME. Not in yours?

Essentially WM 6.5.x is a unfinished OS, its a beta version and has issues, the X button not closing was one of the things that was not finished.

Keep in mind that a lot of these custom taskbars will change the animated wait cursor.

And maybe it's just me, but the programs that I always seem to have problems un-installing are custom taskbars.

I am currently testing a different ROM right now so I can't say whether these will work OK on Mighty's ROMS but they should.

I installed the 6.5.3 on the ROM I am currently using and it works fine but it did change the wait cursor.

How do you find the /windows folder in WMDC on a machine running Win 7 Ultimate. Can't find it in Windows Explorer and nothing comes up in search. Just trying to add some notification sounds.

It's a system folder and hidden by Windows 7. Open MY COMPUTER and go to ORGANIZE (on the left). Click FOLDER AND SEARCH OPTIONS. Click the VIEW tab and select SHOW HIDDEN FILES AND FOLDERS.

That will bring it up so you can find it. Be prepared to wait for the window to open. 7 seems to take a long time to show the Windows directory due to the number of files in there.

I've been pissed at how slow the camera takes pictures, so I did a bit of searching and came up with this:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\HTC\Camera\Captparam

Key: CapKeyDelayTime: Originally 1500, change to 500
Key: CaptureTimer: Originally 5000, change to 100

However, this still wasn't fast enough, my kids run too fast, so I changed both values to 50 and it works great...clear pictures and almost instantanious

You should always clear storage right after a flash. No need prior to doing task29.

Re: ░░░░ MightyROM.com ░░░░ Windows Phone® ░░░░

I know this has kind of been talked about before, but I'm wondering if there is ANY way to get back to that single file look for programs that we had in the last ROM. I used Ziggy's start menu and the folders are there, but it's still really annoying to find programs sometimes when you don't know exactly which folder it's been dropped into/if it's been put into a folder at all.

With Cookie's mod, when you add a quicklink and search for a program, you can find that nice alphabetical list again - can anyone come up with a shortcut to that page? Obviously it's THERE, but I am not advanced enough to figure out how to get to it.

Help please!!
