any luck with the locations setttings...i really want this rom, its just i also like bing instead of google maps :D

GPS works fine in the ROM its just that quickGPS won't auto update so to get a signal quick you gotta run a manual quickGPS update and itll work fine for about 7 days and then you gotta do it again when you need GPS. Bing and google maps both work. I do a quickGPS update all the time on any ROM before I use GPS anyway so its not that big of a deal to me as it speeds up signal acquisition alot.

sorry not trying to sound noobish, but how do you MANUALLY do quickgps, i tried to install a cab version but it just gave an error.

No problem everyone starts somewhere. You dont need to install quickGPS, it should already be in the start menu I believe(forgot exactly where each ROM is different). Just run the program and press the big download button at the bottom and it will download some GPS data and your GPS will acquire signals much faster. Anytime the signal takes a while to acquire just run quickGPS again and download and it should work fine.

thanks, but thats not the problem .. when i press download...it says that locations needs to be turned on.

Hmm thats weird doesnt happen for me. Try going into Start/Settings/Personal/Phone - CDMA Services Tab - Location Setings, press get settings, and make sure it says location on not 911 only.

nope that doesnt get it either...but now im having a problem thats kinda bugging me....

when i install xda shutdown, sometimes it will rest when i press it ..other times..(most) it just freezes on that screen.

Has anyone here tried Maverick ROM or VINdows (Neo) ROM? If so, why did you stay with userROM? Thanks.
