Could be just me. Try opening a new text or email message and using the hardware kb, enter a "/" character (FN + J). I got the ":" instead. Installed the sprint kb fix cab and all is good. Attached it in case you need it. Let me know. Sorry if I sent you on a wild goose chase.

Dude, this 6.5 is ALL I NEED. Its been awhile since 6.5 was revamped since most jumped to 6.5.x . I havent found one problem yet ! I will keep you posted.

Are you serious? It sounds like R2D2 on SOME start ups...well I guess my phone is possessed because it only happens when I flash to your rom series and no one elses....that is really odd...you are messing with me right. :blackeye:

About to Dl the 6.5, right now. I've been away a bit. Will flash tonight and get back to you. It 's going to be hard getting away from 6.5.x :P

LOL, the R2D2 is set as the new SMS sound. The only answer is you MUST be receiving texts as your phone is booting those times that you hear that at start up.

I felt the same way, but am having trouble going back 6.5.X now after having run 6.5 for a couple of days. I miss the stability of the x to close without having to have other programs do it for me. I really missed the taskmanager drop down from the top right taskbar too. It's nice to have those back! Not to mention that my 6.5 looks pretty bad ass, IMO.

Sense 2016/2018 Hybrid SharkieROM-CHT v1.2 uploading now. Will post link in the early morning. It's the same Sense as v1.1 except I've replaced Core 2.5.2016 with 2.5.2018. They say it's faster... My ROMs are pretty fsast already so it's hard for me to tell. It's definitely not any slower. Let me know what you think, when it's up. I've also gone with a new taskbar, Opera 9.7 and several other fixes that have been talked about over the last few pages.

Still in the process of putting together a full 2018 ROM, but I've a ways to go still.

So I found a bug. The Facebook Tab seems unable to authorize settings. The internal authorization has never worked on my ROM, but the browser paste and authorize did. Now the browser paste opens Opera 9.7, but then Opera freezes on a black screen and has to be closed via arkswitch or a task manager. Looking into it...
For the time being IE or UCWeb works fine, you just have to set one of them as the default browser, then reset Opera as the default browser after you're done authorizing the facebook settings, if you so choose. Like I said, I'm working on it...

EDIT: If you update the file path in Facebook Tab Settings/File Path Settings first, then Opera9.7 will work to browser paste and authorize!


I'm also aware the 2018 has different icons and so the ones on top of the slider don't match the ones on the slider tray (mostly in subtabs e.g. "all people" in the People Tab) because those are 2016 icons. I'll eventually make them the same. I like some of the newer ones so I might switch some older ones out for the 2018 ones. We'll see.

Be sure to read the post above the download link for info. on the hybrid ROM. Let me know of any issues discovered other than what's already known with my ROMs and other than what I've already mentioned in this post.

Do you think it's noticeably faster or smoother?
What differences in Sense do you notice?

looking forward to the morning rom,not a single issue on the 6.5 rom at all,for me so far everything WORKS!!! hell yeah its a badass 6.5 rom and looks great out the box as well!! nice job brother!!

Yeah, I'm pretty pleased with the 6.5 ROM. I may just go ahead and build them soon. There's not much more that I feel needs to be done to them at the moment.

I'm on my way to 5000 hopefully :D Slowly but surely I'm gettin' there
